Kevin Malone became an accountant at the Scranton Branch of Dunder Mifflin after earning his Associates Degree online from Penn Foster College. After initially applying to work in the branch's warehouse, Regional Manager Michael Scott took a chance on Malone and he became a staple of DM Scranton's accounting department. Malone is tasked mainly with knowing information relating to numbers: what numbers are, how they are used, and their general order.
Malone is outspoken about his love for food. He enjoys cupcakes, M&Ms, and double fudge brownies made by lead accountant Angela Martin. He also enjoys cooking and is widely known for his famous chili recipe.
In his spare time, Malone plays poker. He successfully won a World Series of Poker bracelet for the $2500 No-Limit Deuce-Seven Draw in 2002. He also plays drums and sings in the Police cover band, Scrantonicity.
