Peacock's new crime drama series M.I.A. is a gritty tale of vengeance set amongst Miami's neon-lit underbelly.
 
The series — which sees all nine episodes debuting May 7, 2026 on Peacock — follows Etta Tiger Jones (Shannon Gisela), a young woman from the Florida Keys who finds her life shattered after her drug-running family is murdered when something goes wrong.

What movies and television series has Billy Burke been in?

Most fans will recognize Burke from two of his more popular projects: Twilight and Fire Country. Burke played Charlie Swan, the concerned single father of Bella Swan in 2008's Twilight, the film adaptation of the bestselling book. He reprised his role in all four Twilight sequels.

As for Burke's most recent work, he had a main role on the drama series Fire Country, playing Cal Fire Battalion Chief Vince Leone for the first three seasons.

Burke has been a guest star in a variety of television series going back to one of his first roles, as Ari in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He then went on to book recurring roles in Wonderland, Gilmore Girls, 24, and Rizzoli & Isles, among guest spots on lots of other shows. And he had a leading role as Miles Matheson in NBC's Revolution, a sci-fi series that ran from 2012 to 2014.

The series centers on Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela), who's restless in the Florida Keys when her family’s drug-running business shatters in tragedy. Etta embarks on a dangerous journey through Miami’s neon-lit underbelly as a result.
