English actor Cary Elwes charmed audiences as Westley in the 1987 film The Princess Bride, and fans have been infatuated with him ever since.
He starred alongside Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Robin Wright, and Billy Crystal in the fantasy adventure comedy that became a cult classic.
Elwes, now 63, went on to star in films like Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993), another adventure comedy, the psychological thriller Kiss the Girls (1997), and the horror Saw (2004), which spawned multiple sequels, including one that the actor returned for (Saw 3D).

Elwes stars as Florida-based investigator Kincaid in M.I.A., a new crime drama series debuting on Peacock on Thursday, May 7, 2026. A binge drop, all nine episodes will be available to stream that day.
What is Peacock's M.I.A. about?
M.I.A. stars Shannon Gisela as Etta Tiger Jonze, who, according to the show's synopsis, is "restless in the Florida Keys... But when her family’s drug-running business shatters in tragedy, Etta embarks on a dangerous journey through Miami’s neon-lit underbelly that will define who she is and what she’s ultimately capable of."
In addition to Gisela and Elwes, other series regulars include Danay Garcia, Brittany Adebumola, Dylan Jackson, Alberto Guerra, Maurice Compte, Gerardo Celasco, and Marta Milans.
Elwes wrapped filming on the series in the summer of 2025, according to his August 12 Instagram post commemorating the big moment. He shared a photo of himself with the crew, writing, "Being a part of this show has been one of the most joyful experiences of my career. Will miss this magnificent cast & crew. Thank you for bringing the love each and every day."
