Tiffany Mitchell Admits She Isn't Mad That Rapaport Defended Her: "Get All of Them!"

The Traitors star has a lot to say about the players who set her up to go home.

SPOILER WARNING: This story reveals major plot points from Episodes 1-5 of The Traitors Season 4.

After the culling of well-respected gamers Ian Terry (Big Brother) and Rob Cesternino (Survivor) in the first episodes of fourth season of The Traitorsmany eyes turned towards former Big Brother star Tiffany Mitchell.

How to Watch

Stream The Traitors Thursdays at 9/8c exclusively on Peacock.

Resourceful and a natural leader, Tiffany was one of the first to correctly float Donna Kelce as a Traitor. But then her Traitor-dar must have shorted as she asserted that Yam Yam Arocho (Survivor) and comedians Michael Rapaport and Ron Funches were the players in the turret.

But what really did her in was Colton Underwood's confidence that she was most-certainly a Traitor, and then his successful whipping of votes against her by his fellow players. The group suspicions were then cemented in the Roundtable when singer Eric Nam asserted that he heard Tiffany's laugh when he was blindfolded in the woods as a potential "Murder" victim set up by the actual Traitors — Candiace Dillard BassettLisa Rinna, and Rob Rausch.

What ensued was an emotional Roundtable debate where Tiffany was brought to tears trying to defend herself against Colton, Eric, and the rest of the room. Peacock Blog recently spoke with her about the intensity of that situation, which fellow gamers gave her advice before the trip to Scotland and her thoughts on her controversial game frenemy, Michael Rapaport

Peacock Blog: Do you think it makes sense for the Traitors to get rid of the gamers so early on?

Tiffany Mitchell: I mean, golly, they do need some gamers in there, some people that have experience. I'm not gonna go and play an all-star game of basketball and kick out all the legends and be like, 'Let's put all these rookies in here!' Just hold on, we gotta keep a few of them. But if you're threatened, I guess so. Or maybe, you just don't know who they are, or maybe that's the perception of it. But I am interested to see how is it going to go without having so many gamers in the castle.

Heading into the castle, did you want to be a Traitor or a Faithful?

Going in, I'm gonna prepare myself that they may make me a Traitor, and I will go in here and slay and murder and sleep well like a baby at night, should I have to murder. I was prepared completely. But I also knew that I would be playing a different type of game. Like, I talked too much. I was a little nervous for myself to be a Traitor because I have to work twice as hard. I did feel very relieved when I wasn't tapped to be a Traitor. I was like, 'Ok, so now all I gotta do is wake up and do my makeup.'

What was your strategy once you found out you were a Faithful?

Keep my eyes on, and my head on a swivel. Look for inconsistencies, people that look suspicious. You know, it's very hard to assess whether someone is lying, or they're suspicious, or they're guilty, or they're doing something different. Essentially, I'm looking for someone who's doing something different than everyone else. But you also don't know people, and it's not like I have a history of experience with you, and I know when you're lying. I've got to try to learn who these people are first. It's not as easy of a game as people would like to think, it's really not. There's a lot of layers.

Did you chat with any other gamers who have been in the castle before, just for advice?

I did. My two favorites who were close to me even before going in, were Derrick Levasseur and Danielle Reyes. No one can tell you how to play this game, and then when you're a gamer and you have respect for a gamer, you're not gonna tell them how to play. But you just want to prepare them mentally for what they're walking into, and what to look for and what not to do.

One of the things Danielle told me not to do is I better not cry. I said, 'You got it, girl. Let me tell you something, I don't care what happens, I won't be crying. I'm not a crier anyway, so that's not gonna happen.' What did I do? I cried. I'm grateful for the tears that they didn't show because there was a point where I felt myself almost doing an ugly cry. And I was like, 'Don't do it!'"

Maybe you weren't supposed to cry, but it worked me. I was like, 'How are they gonna vote her out right now?'

Get him, get all of them, get everybody who voted for me.”

Tiffany Mitchell

I couldn't help it. I was so hurt. I don't know a time where I've been accused of something I didn't... Maybe like as a child? I was sneaky as a child, I lied as a child, you know. But [the vote] felt, it almost feels personal, even though it's a game. It's like you're accusing me of something I know I didn't do, and it's a very tough position to be in. And for me, it wasn't just that it was Colton and Eric, baby, it was everybody at my table except for two. That was hard. I hated them all.

Did you have any inclination that Colton was really gonna go for you at the Roundtable beforehand?

Not go for me, no. I knew that he had said something about me. It's messed up because I got [wind of] it heading into the Roundtable, so I'm instantly pissed. I don't have my head on right in the game mode to debate him in this situation.

Now I'm back home in Detroit, 'What did you say about me? Say it to my face right now!'  And then Eric's claim that he heard me laugh. A lot of people are like, 'Colton was leading the charge,' but Eric was his accomplice, so he is just as guilty.

A split of Colton Underwood and Tiffany Mitchell on The Traitors Season 4.

Have you seen Michael Rapaport's Roundtable after your banishment, and what did you think of it?

Listen, I ain't mad. Whack [Colton] again for me, whack him again! Get him, get all of them, get everybody who voted for me. Definitely get Colton's big a** because he did have everybody, like, 'I got out Traitors, I know what I'm doing!' I wasn't mad at Michael at all coming to my defense. I like it a lot.

Were you surprised by the Traitors' identities after you found out?

100%. I had suspicions about Lisa, and Rob had popped into my mind one time, but then I kind of laid off of him. Candiace blew my mind. Lisa was my girl. They are amazing Traitors to me 'cause I didn't say none of their names. Well, I did mention Lisa's name to Dorinda and I thought it was gonna get me in trouble, but it wasn't even that.

Can you give us some insight into the challenges? They look pretty intense. How do they compare to The Challenge or Big Brother?

Big Brother, I'm always safe, I never worry if I'm going to die. I might sprain an ankle or something, but I'm like, 'I'll be OK, everything's in the backyard.' The Challenge, that's a whole 'nother level of a challenge. The missions are right in the middle of Big Brother and The Challenge.

They are taking us offsite, we're going somewhere that we have no idea what we're walking into. It could be bugs, it could be mud. They were challenging. That chariot pushing the carriage, my chest was burning. You got Natalie down here in the front with these arms, these muscles, she's leading. She's got us on this steady pace. She is like, 'Hut, two, three, four, hut!' I'm like, oh my God.

So the missions are fun... it's always like, 'What are we walking into?' They're very, as Eric put it, sadistic.

Who left in the game has the best strategy?

I like the way Candiace is playing. I don't know how far it's gonna take her, but it looks like she's very vocal and outspoken. In the castle, it doesn't feel like that. She hasn't changed from who she was coming in, so I think she's playing a good game because she wasn't on my radar at all. I don't know if that's just because her and I were connected.

A lot of the Faithfuls are playing very, very low games. I mean, Mark Ballas, Stephen Colletti, Tara Lipinski, Johnny Weir, Kristen Kish, are they even in danger? It’s interesting to see what their games will be when all the personality leaves. Y’all have to say something 'cause we're not there.
