Jama has explained that getting her start in entertainment as a presenter was a perfect fit.
"I didn't have any other skills than talking," Jama told to Vogue for a 2023 story. "I could talk to anyone, at any time of day, from any walk of life, and really enjoy finding out about new people... I'm like, how does that turn into a job?"
When asked to host Love Island UK, beginning with Season 9, Jama couldn't say no to the opportunity.
"I’ve been a fan of the show pretty much since it started," she told Vogue. "I know everything about it... My role is to deliver information and facts but, because I love it so much, I just want to be their best mate and be like, 'Are you sure you really like that guy?' I'll be as involved as I can."
While production on Love Island: All Stars Season 3 is currently halted due to wildfires near the villa in South Africa where the show tapes, filming is expected to resume soon.
Currently, the Peacock premiere date for Love Island: All Stars Season 3 is up in the air — but rest assured, Jama is just as ready for the new season to kick off as everyone else is.
