How does a player win the dagger in The Traitors?
Alan Cumming explains to the players that in their monument mission, the six who collect the most gold nuggets will be eligible to win a very special dagger never offered before. They'll then be placed in a smaller competition to win the dagger prize for themselves.
What is the dagger reward in The Traitors?
A new incentive in the game outside of shields or immunity, the dagger gives the winner who possesses it two votes during a Roundtable Eliminatation vote of their choosing. However, the winner of the dagger must use it during one of the next four Roundtable votes, or it won't be used at all. (It's not eligible for any Finale episode voting.)
Who won the dagger reward in Episode 7 of The Traitors?
There was fierce competition to gain possession of the dagger prize, but Rob Rausch was gunning for it particularly hard as he immediately saw the power it could wield the closer they got to the finale, especially with close votes at the Elimination Roundtable.
When the players crested the top of the hill with their trunks, they had a choice to place their nuggets in their own chest or someone else's. After those decisions, Rob, Colton, Eric, Mark, Natalie and Stephen had the most nuggets and moved on to play for the dagger. At an exterior Roundtable, each player was given a slate. Underneath, one person had a dagger symbol. The player with that slate with the dagger would win the prize.
Because Rob had the most nuggets in his chest, he won the advantage of getting to ask his fellow competitors some questions to determine if they had the dagger on their slate. Calling himself a "human lie detector," Rob grilled each player and watched their reactions closely. In the end, Rob chose to swap slates with Natalie and was correct that she did have the dagger slate.
At Rob's suggestion, he got the whole group to promise not to share who possessed the dagger as a sign of loyalty to one another as Faithfuls. Trouble is, Rob is the only non-Faithful in that group!
