- Heading into its 42nd season, Jeopardy! is one of the longest-running and most beloved game shows of all time. Since premiering on NBC in 1964, it has aired over 9,000 episodes, earning a record 45 Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award.
How does the Jeopardy! game work?
- Jeopardy! is a quiz show where contestants are presented with clues in the form of answers, and they must respond with the correct question. The game is played in three rounds: the Jeopardy! round, the Double Jeopardy! round, and Final Jeopardy!. Players select clues from a game board of categories, earning money for correct responses and losing money for incorrect ones. Special features like Daily Doubles allow contestants to wager part or all of their score. The contestant with the highest total at the end of Final Jeopardy! wins the game and often returns as champion in the next episode.
