The 50th edition of the America's largest and most dazzling fireworks show will be bigger and better than ever, boasting more than 85,000 firework shells featuring 30 vibrant colors and awe-inspiring special effects. And for the first time ever, fireworks will be launched from two locations — on both the lower East River and the lower Hudson River — for maximum viewing enjoyment.
"We're proud to honor our 50th anniversary with an expanded show, never-before-seen effects and music's biggest stars for a truly unforgettable celebration," Will Coss, Macy’s 4th of July executive producer, said in an official statement.

Who will be performing at the celebration
Hosted by America's Got Talent's Terry Crews, the 4th of July extravaganza will feature LIVE performances by some of the biggest names in music throughout the two-hour special.
Viewers can look forward to performances by Noah Kahan, Post Malone, Salt-N-Pepa, Bebe Rexha, Shaboozey, and Blake Shelton.
But that's not all. The 27-minute long fireworks show itself — illuminating the skyline alongside a very special laser light show over the Brooklyn Bridge — will feature a soundtrack "inspired by the enduring spirit of America" that "reimagines the iconic sounds of more than 50 years of beloved summer classics," per the event's press release.
And it gets even better: The Voice Season 29 winner Alexia Jayy will deliver an epic vocal tour de force during the fireworks show to help celebrate America's 250th birthday in style.
