Calling all pop culture connoisseurs! Comedians and co-hosts of the popular Las Culturistas podcast Bowen Yang (Wicked, SNL) and Matt Rogers (Fire Island) will host the fourth annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards, which airs on Bravo for the first time.  

The awards show celebrates pop culture’s most iconic and consequential moments of the year. With more than 100 unique award categories, live musical performances, and iconic celebrity guest appearances, the ceremony brings culture’s most crucial moments to life.

The Las Culturistas Culture Awards will stream Wednesday, Aug 6 on Peacock. If you want to catch the awards show on TV, it airs Tuesday, Aug 5 from 9-11p ET/PT on Bravo.

The Las Culturistas Culture Awards celebrate the year’s biggest, smallest, and most fabulously random pop culture moments. It’s an extension of the podcast phenomenon, Las Culturistas, and the annual awards show serves as a culmination of all that’s worth embracing in pop culture.  

Who are the hosts of the Las Culturistas Culture Awards? 

Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers host the Las Culturistas Culture Awards.  

The duo are behind Las Culturistas, a podcast where they dive into pop culture moments of the day and the formative cultural experiences that turned them into eminent culture consultants.  

“The word ‘culture’ is defined as ‘the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively,’” said Rogers and Yang. “We are so thrilled to eliminate that whole ‘intellectual’ part entirely with the LCCAs airing on Bravo and Peacock this August, alongside our partners at Lionsgate. Because while what the world needs now might be love sweet love, it also needs to see an Oscar-winning actress and a Real Housewife come together to present a very heavy award to Oprah, if we can book her. Oprah, u up?!”  

Who are some of this year’s nominees?  

Some of the categories this year include Best Vibe, Hands Down, where popular figures like Seth Meyers and Doechii are nominated alongside Japan, The Jennifer Hudson Show’s Spirit Tunnel, and Top Chef: Canada. There’s also the Best Movie of All Time, which is made up of an eclectic mix of hopefuls from the Gagachella Bootleg from Videomoon.cn to Nutty Professor II: The Klumps. The Most Iconic Building has nominees ranging from the Lumon Headquarters in Severance to Lady Gaga’s Mirror House from her SNL performance of “Abracadabra.”
