In honor of the start of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Peacock is highlighting some top-notch content featuring contributions from AANHPI creators. From award-winning book adaptations to gory horror movies and reality shows dripping with drama, this list has something viewers of all ages and tastes will enjoy.   

1. Quantum Leap  

The past, present, and future meet in this time-traveling romp that finds brilliant quantum physicist Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) and his team uncovering the mysteries behind the legendary Quantum Leap accelerator, as well as the technology's currently missing creator.

2. Jimmy O. Yang: Good Deal  

In this hilarious stand-up special, Hong Kong-American comedian Jimmy O. Yang (Silicon Valley) gives his thoughts about Matt Damon, Asian representation, possible hauntings, interactions with his immigrant parents, and how he learned to speak English from rap videos.

3. Departure 

Suspenseful and thrilling, Departures follows the brilliant Kendra Malley as she investigates the true cause of devastating, yet mysterious mass transportation incidents, like the disappearance of a plane.

4. Intelligence  

National security is no joke, but it can be funny. In this workplace comedy, the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) in London, which is tasked with tackling international and domestic Cyber Crime must adjust to a new boss: an arrogant American NSA agent.

5. Heroes 

Heroes is a captivating superhero drama series that follows seemingly ordinary individuals who discover they all possess extraordinary abilities and must navigate the complexities of their newfound powers while facing moral dilemmas and global threats. As they grapple with their destinies, they must unite to save the world from impending disaster.

6. We Are Lady parts  

Following an all-female Muslim punk band in London as they navigate the challenges of friendship, love, and creative expression in pursuit of a proper gig, this musical comedy series shows the highs and lows of the band as seen through the eyes of Amina Hussein – a geeky microbiology PhD student, who is recruited to be their unlikely lead guitarist.

7. Young Rock 

Before he was a wrestling legend and international movie superstar, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was just Dewey, the young son of fellow wrestler Rocky Johnson. Taking place over various time periods, including one where the wrestling star grows up to be President of the United States, this show is sure to bring the entire family laughs.

8. Family Karma 

This reality series follows the intergenerational experiences of several Indian-American families currently living in Miami, Florida. Complete with gasps, gags, and enough drama to satiate even the most reluctant reality TV fans, Family Karma is sure to excite and entice viewers of all experiences.

9. Superstore 

At the big-box megastore Cloud 9, an oddball group of employees navigate life’s challenges like interpersonal relationships, absurd corporate training sessions, and riot-causing sales in this hilarious and satirical workplace sitcom.

10. Golden: The Journey of USA’s Elite Gymnasts 

This six-part documentary series follows the path of five top-tier American gymnasts as they prepare for the Olympic Trials to join Team USA in Tokyo. As the 2024 Olympics grow nearer, this series is the perfect way to get an inside look at the lives of high-level Olympic athletes, including rigorous training, intense competitions, and hidden aspects of their personal lives.

11. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Host Jo Koy dives deep into the art of pranking as he presents some of the internet’s funniest prank videos and interviews the people behind the hi-jinks.

13. Top Chef 

Top Chef is the premier TV cooking competition where talented chefs from around the world compete in culinary challenges while judged by a panel of food industry experts. Hosted by Padma Lakshmi for its first 20 seasons, the show is now hosted by Korean-American chef Kristen Kish, who won the tenth season of the show.

14. Margaret Cho: psyCHO 

In this no-holds-barred stand-up special, legendary comedian Margaret Cho takes the stage to tackle off-limits issues from Boko Haram to female empowerment with her classic wit and candid humor.

15. Iron Chef 

This fast-paced Japanese cooking competition turns the burners up to high as guest chefs face off against one of the show’s resident “Iron Chefs.” With a cooking challenge based around a secret ingredient, the chefs must battle both each other and the ticking clock.

16. Chicago Med 

Part of the One Chicago Franchise, Chicago Med is set in the high-stakes world of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. The medical procedural follows the daily chaos in the hospital’s trauma center and emergency room and the lives of the exceptionally skilled and brave doctors, nurses, and staff who manage it all with resilience and dedication.

17. Transplant 

Transplant follows the journey of the gifted doctor, Bashir "Bash" Hamed, a refugee from the Syrian Civil War and the latest addition to the team at York Memorial Hospital in Canada. As he confronts numerous challenges, Bash strives to rebuild his career in the demanding field of emergency medicine in a new country.
