For the first time in Olympics history, a UNESCO World Heritage site will play host to the Closing Ceremony: the recently renovated Arena di Verona, now known as the Verona Olympic Arena. The venue will bear witness to some of Italy's most talented stars and performers, giving fans worldwide a show filled with the kind of pageantry the Olympics are known for.

But the grandiose spectacle of performances isn't the only thing to look forward to. Italy will pass the Olympic flag over to the host region for the 2030 Winter Games — the French Alps — before the Olympic torch is extinguished until the next Games.
