Snowboarding takes center stage as Sunday's slate of events kicks off. On the skiing front, all eyes will be on Lindsey Vonn.

The 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics have gotten off to a blistering start — and the top athletes in the world have no intention of slowing down anytime soon.

How to Watch

Watch the 2026 Winter Olympics on NBC and Peacock.

With the breathtaking Opening Ceremony — which included the always-fascinating Parade of Nations — behind them, Team USA kicks off their first full week of competition on Sunday, February 8. Could a gold medal be in the United States' future? It's possible — especially with a superb showing in snowboarding's parallel giant slalom, which will feature its qualifiers and finals all in the same day.

In other action, the mixed doubles round-robin round continues in the world of curling as Italy works to defend its gold medal. Athletes from that country face off against Great Britain in one of the day's most anticipated showdowns.

Of course, all eyes will be on alpine skier Lindsey Vonn as the women's downhill event airs at 5:30 a.m. ET. Will the gold medalist be able to shake off the knee injury she suffered a little over a week ago?

A complete listing of today's events can be found below, with every event streaming live as it unfolds exclusively on Peacock!
