Weeks after Rex Heuermann confessed to multiple murders, a fourth episode of The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets comes to Peacock.
Attention, true crime fans: If you couldn't get enough of the documentary series The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets, you're in luck. A brand new episode is coming to Peacock in the wake of Rex Heuermann’s shocking confessions.
On April 8, the former architect from Long Island pleaded guilty in a Suffolk County courtroom to killing eight women, strangling them and dumping their bodies in the areas of Gilgo Beach, Manorville, and Southampton, New York.

Up to that point, Heuermann had maintained his innocence. He had been charged with seven murders, all of which he's now pleaded guilty to, and has admitted to causing the death of an eighth woman, Karen Vergata, whose death he won't be charged with as part of the plea deal.

When does the fourth episode of The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets hit Peacock?
The fourth and final episode of The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets starts streaming on Peacock on Thursday, April 23, 2026. It joins the first three installments of the Emmy-nominated documentary that debuted in 2025 and are available on the streamer now to watch.
The documentary's filmmakers were given exclusive access to Heuermann's family, including his ex-wife Asa Ellerup, their daughter Victoria Heuermann, and Heuermann's stepson Christopher Sheridan, Ellerup's child from a prior relationship. Phone calls from jail with Heuermann are also featured in the documentary.

What to expect in the final episode of The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets
As Peacock details, the fourth episode in the documentary covers the following: "In the lead-up to the plea hearing, the episode picks up in August 2025 and details the real-time questioning of Asa to her serial killer ex-husband about the timeline and meticulous planning of the murder that occurred days before their wedding and mere months before the birth of their daughter, Victoria. Additionally, the unprecedented access includes interviews with the family’s psychotherapist, where she reveals her notes and intimate conversations with Rex and the family, as they confront the shocking revelations of the case. There’s also insight from renowned FBI profiler John Douglas, author of Mindhunter and the pioneer behind the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit, whose department is actively studying Rex as part of the plea."
When was Rex Heuermann arrested?
Heuermann, now 62, was arrested in July of 2023 in connection to the killings of three women. He was eventually charged with more murders, for a total of seven.
Between 2010 and 2011, 11 sets of human remains were found along Gilgo Beach and nearby areas along the water on Long Island. Many of the victims were sex workers, and not all of the victims have been linked to Heuermann.

On April 8, Heuermann confessed to killing and disposing of the bodies of the following women:
- Melissa Barthelemy (age 24)
- Megan Waterman (22)
- Amber Lynn Costello (27)
- Maureen Brainard-Barnes (25)
- Valerie Mack (24)
- Jessica Taylor (20)
- Sandra Costilla (28)
- Karen Vergata (34)
Though Huermann admitted to causing the death of Vergata, per his plea deal, he will not be charged with her murder.
