Snoop Dogg's been having a ball at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. He's learned curling, hung out at the halfpipe with Team USA's Chloe Kim, and even visited the legendary La Scala opera house with his old friend Martha Stewart. Now, Snoop's adding another gig to his long list of Olympic special correspondent duties: Hockey announcer.

Watch the 2026 Winter Olympics on NBC and Peacock.

NBC Sports' Mike Tirico announced Tuesday during NBC's Primetime in Milan coverage that Snoop, who's in his second Olympic games as an NBC special correspondent, will host an altcast feed today (Wednesday, February 18) for the USA men's hockey team's quarterfinal match-up with Sweden. Snoop will take the mic during the third and final period of the game, giving fans a chance to hear the "Snoop-Cast" commentary while watching the final minutes of this critical game as the US men chase a gold medal.

We don't know exactly what Snoop has planned for his altcast version of the game, but NBC promises a "unique third-period alternate presentation," and Tirico and Snoop mentioned Tuesday night that the altcast may include a "special guest" or two along the way.

Snoop Dogg around the Olympics

Though he's still relatively new to the Olympics special correspondent gig, Snoop has more than made Milan Cortina his own over the past week and a half. Often sporting custom shirts and jackets featuring the faces of Team USA athletes, he's done everything from drive a Zamboni across the Olympic ice rink to helping deliver messages of love and support to injured alpine skier Lindsey Vonn as she recovers in the hospital. He's hung out with athletes, sat in the stands alongside parents, and brought a sense of excitement everywhere. Now, he's bringing that same infectious energy to Team USA hockey.
