When does Ted Season 2 premiere?
All eight episodes of Ted Season 2 premiere Thursday, March 5, 2026 exclusively on Peacock.
What is Ted the series about and how does it connect to the films?
A prequel series to Seth MacFarlane's hit films Ted (2012) and Ted 2 (2015), Ted the series fills in the back story of the life and times of 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder) and his sentient teddy bear named Ted. Set up like a dysfunctional sitcom, John has to navigate his hormones, his overbearing dad, his overly supportive mom and his troublesome best friend bear.

In the opening prologue of Ted (2012), the narrator (Patrick Stewart) explains the Christmas miracle story of how in 1985 eight-year-old John Bennett of Massachusetts wished for his teddy bear to come to life and it came true. But then teddy became a media sensation and had some adventures on his own until he came back to live with grown-up John in the films. What the series does is fill in the blanks about how John and Teddy stayed tight "Thunder Buddies" throughout John's adolescence when he was at his most awkward as a teenager.
Where are Ted and John in Season 2 of Ted?
At this season opens, it's 1994 and John's senior year of high school is underway for the awkward teen. Of course, Ted is still by his side, for better or worse. Together they live in a working-class Boston home with John's parents (Matty and Susan) and cousin (Blaire).

Susan is kind, selfless, and almost pathologically sweet when it comes to caring for her family. Blaire is an outspoken college student who often finds herself at odds with her more traditional-minded relatives."
