SNL Announces Hosts and Musical Guests for Season 51

Live from New York, here are the latest updates for the new season.

The wait is over. Saturday nights just got a whole lot funnier because Saturday Night Live is kicking off Season 51.  

Bad Bunny and Doja Cat ringing in the season together? Amy Poehler returning to host after years away? Sabrina Carpenter pulling double duty? Glen Powell and Nikki Glaser making their SNL hosting debuts? Season 51 is shaping up to be unforgettable with a star-studded lineup to start off the new season.  

Here’s the full schedule for SNL Season 51.  

Oct 4 – Host Bad Bunny with Musical Guest Doja Cat  

SNL launches Season 51 with Bad Bunny returning for the second time as host. He most recently appeared as a musical guest in the Season 50 finale. The three-time Grammy® Award winner begins his world tour this fall, celebrating his album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.  

Doja Cat makes her SNL musical guest debut. The Grammy® winner's fifth album, Vie, will be released Sept 26. 

Oct 11 – Host Amy Poehler with Musical Guest Role Model 

Amy Poehler returns to Studio 8H for her second individual hosting appearance and third overall. The episode marks SNL's 50th anniversary since its debut on Oct 11, 1975. Poehler She was an SNL cast member for eight seasons from 2001-2008. The Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award winner hosts the popular podcast Good Hang With Amy Poehler

Singer-songwriter Role Model makes his SNL debut as a musical guest. He just marked his first Billboard No. 1 song with “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” topping the Adult Alternative Airplay chart. 

Oct 18 – Host and Musical Guest Sabrina Carpenter  

Sabrina Carpenter will do double duty, marking her first appearance as host and second appearance as musical guest. She previously appeared as a musical guest for the Season 49 finale hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal. The Grammy® winner's newest album, Man's Best Friend, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. 

Nov 1 – Host Miles Teller and Musical Guest Brandi Carlile   

Miles Teller returns to host SNL for the second time. He stars in and executive produces the fantasy romantic comedy Eternity, in theaters Nov 26. 

Brandi Carlile makes her third individual appearance as SNL musical guest (and fourth overall). The 11-time Grammy® winner’s newest album, Returning to Myself, is out Oct 24. 

Nov 8 – Host Nikki Glaser and Musical Guest sombr   

Comedian Nikki Glaser will lead Studio 8H for the first time. Glaser will return to host the Golden Globes next year and will premiere a new stand-up special on Hulu.  

Singer-songwriter sombr heads to SNL for his debut appearance as musical guest. His breakout hit, “back to friends,” from his debut album, I Barely Know Her, has been streamed more than 1 billion times and tops the Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters chart. 

Nov 15 – Host Glen Powell and Musical Guest Olivia Dean 

Golden Globe®-nominated actor Glen Powell hosts the late-night sketch comedy show for the first time. Powell co-created and stars in Hulu’s sports comedy series Chad Powers, and next headlines The Running Man, in theaters Nov 14. 

English singer-songwriter Olivia Dean takes the mic for her SNL debut. She is currently on tour in support of her album The Art of Loving, which reached No. 1 in five countries.
