Dunkirk Has a Streaming Release Date on Peacock This Spring
Christopher Nolan's World War II epic is heading to Peacock.
Dunkirk, Christopher Nolan's critically-acclaimed World War II film, is heading to Peacock this spring.
The 2017 historical film focuses on the 1940 evacuation of more than 300,000 Allied soldiers trapped in Dunkirk, France, who were surrounded by enemy German forces. Told from three different perspectives — efforts on the ground, in the sea, and in the air — the action thriller makes audiences feel as if they're trapped alongside the Allies.

When does Dunkirk start streaming on Peacock?
Dunkirk arrives on Peacock on Friday, May 1, 2026, just in time for the weekend.
Who is in the cast of Dunkirk?
The movie's ensemble cast includes Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy and Barry Keoghan, with Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy.
Hardy, who plays Farrier, a Royal Air Force Spitfire pilot for the United Kingdom, in Dunkirk, spoke about his experience filming the movie in an interview with The Wrap that ran in 2017.

"It's a very profound story," Hardy said. "What's lovely about it is that it’s a classic film, it's so epic in the storytelling, and Chris [Nolan] has gone back to an old school film from the 1940s, 1950s and retold it. Just being there, you can see the effort in this huge orchestration. I was just in my own play — I had limited exposure to cast and crew. And there was also a lot of pressure, in the same way. I grew up in the generation of their granddads talking about the war. Everyone was colored by that experience — Dunkirk was a big turning point in the war."

Dunkirk joins another highly-regarded Nolan film currently streaming on Peacock — the 2000 psychological thriller cult classic Memento. The movie centers on a man who has short-term memory loss due to a head injury during an attack, and is trying to find the person who did this to him and also murdered his wife.
