It’s time to say farewell to Downton Abbey. To honor the beloved franchise, NBC is inviting viewers in for a peek behind the curtain in an one-hour primetime special, Downton Abbey Celebrates the Grand Finale, on Wednesday, Sept 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, ahead of the theatrical release of the third and final film, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.

The NBC special will be available to stream starting Thursday, Sept 11 on Peacock.

In Downton Abbey Celebrates the Grand Finale, the stars of the iconic period drama reunite at London’s famed Savoy Hotel to share personal memories and never-before-told secrets as they reflect on the past 15 years.

Downton Abbey cast members Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Raquel Cassidy, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Michael Fox, Joanne Froggatt, Paul Giamatti, Harry Hadden-Paton, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Lesley Nicol, and Penelope Wilton will all appear in the special.

“I’m honored to invite you to tea with our entire Downton family,” Dockery says in the NBC teaser. “It’ll be a night of memories, surprises, and lots of laughter.”

Production designer Donal Woods, costume designer Anna Mary Scott Robbins, and composer John Lunn will also be featured.

The special will also premiere a world exclusive scene from Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, so make sure to add this to your watchlist.

After you go down memory lane with the cast, prepare yourself for the final chapter in the Downton Abbey saga. The anticipated movie, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, will debut only in theaters Friday, Sept 12.

The film follows the Crawley family and their staff as they enter the 1930s. When Mary (Dockery) finds herself at the center of a public scandal and the family faces financial trouble, the entire household grapples with the threat of social disgrace. The Crawleys must embrace change as the staff prepares for a new chapter with the next generation leading Downton Abbey into the future.

Catch up on all six seasons of Downton Abbey on Peacock, as well as the 2022 film sequel Downton Abbey: A New Era. Beginning Sept 1, you will also be able to stream the 2019 film, Downton Abbey.
