Everything To Know About The Copenhagen Test, Peacock's New Espionage Thriller
Here are all the details on the new series starring Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera.
It can't be easy knowing that every single thing you see and hear is being transmitted to an unknown group of people.
That's the harrowing position Simu Liu's character, Alexander Hale, is faced with in Peacock's new espionage thriller, The Copenhagen Test.
"How long have you willingly been committing treason against the United States government?" Adina Porter's Marlowe asks a confused Alexander in one scene shown in a new trailer for the series. "You're the mole, Alexander. Someone's been watching and listening through you."
When Alexander still can't grasp that this nightmare scenario is real and how it's possible, Marlowe explains, "That's a Wi-Fi signal streaming from your head. You were hacked."
Brian d’Arcy James' character Peter Moira, who, like Marlowe, also works for the American intelligence agency that Alexander does, further fills him in with, "We can either attempt to remove what's in your brain..."
Catching on, Alexander replies, "Or we keep the hack open." Peter confirms that that's what they have in mind, setting up the series' intriguing plot of getting to the bottom of who's behind the hack and who Alexander can trust.
Melissa Barrera, best known for starring in a couple of the Scream slasher films, plays a love interest for Alexander in The Copenhagen Test — or someone who Alexander's agency hired to pretend to be a love interest.
As seen in the trailer, Barrera's Michelle tells Alexander, "They want me to play the girlfriend."
Alexander replies, "Or you're just keeping an eye on me."
Either way, things are about to get really complicated.
"We either save the mission, or save his life," Michelle says about Alexander in another scene.
