What Happens to Les & Lindy After the Miniature Wife Finale?
What’s next for the Littlejohns? The creators and cast share their thoughts.
**SPOILER WARNING! Minor spoilers below for The Miniature Wife on Peacock!**
By the end of Peacock’s new black comedy series, The Miniature Wife (now streaming), the troubled married couple of Lindy (Elizabeth Banks) and Les Littlejohn (Matthew Macfadyen) seem destined for one another — albeit imperfectly. She’s an insecure novelist with debilitating writer’s block, while he’s a needy inventor desperate to become world famous. Twenty-years into their rocky marriage, their literal breaking point comes after Les shrinks Lindy with his experimental cellular restoration formula and reduces her to a tiny six inches tall.
Based on the short story of the same name by Manuel Gonzales, The Miniature Wife showrunners Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner (Goliath, Boardwalk Empire) have expanded the story to a large ensemble cast. In the show, Les and Lindy have a college-aged daughter, Lulu (Sofia Rosinsky). Plus, we meet the man with whom Lindy has an emotional affair, RPW (O-T Fagbenle), who happens to be Les’ lab colleague. There's also a hostile investor auditor, Vivienne (played by Zoe Lister-Jones), who has her eyes on Les.
Over the 10 episodes of the season, Les and Lindy are downright Machiavellian about trying to punish one another in the most extreme ways possible, yet they keep giving each other one more chance. In the finale, Les even shrinks himself and then tests his unproven restoration formula on himself to prove his love for Lindy. Once normal-sized, they propose a “revised marriage” with new accountability and hope for a better path forward. But is that even possible with these two?
Peacock Blog chatted with showrunners Ames and Turner, along with several of the cast members, to find out where they think the Littlejohns are a year after the finale. You’ll want to see what they said, below.

What Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen think happen to Les and Lindy after The Miniature Wife
"I think they're divorced,” Macfadyen said to Peacock Blog, laughing. "Yeah, Les is a diving instructor."
Banks laughed just as hard and said about Lindy, "I think she's going through her book, The Miniature Wife, with a lawyer, to make sure she isn't criminally liable for anything bad that happened, like the lab blowing up or a contract going sideways.
Sofia Rosinsky says Lulu has hope for the Littlejohns on The Miniature Wife
While Lindy and Les are mostly focused on themselves and each other, their long-suffering daughter, Lulu (Rosinsky), has to navigate the chaos that is a shrunken mother.
Rosinsky said she loved every minute of the surreal shoot, revealing one of her favorite scenes came in the finale episode (titled "A Tiny Big Idea"). In it, a shrunken Les is placed inside a bathtub, and Lulu is tasked with dousing him with his yet-unproven formula in hopes of restoring both her parents.
"Matthew is in the bathtub, and because of the eye line, they had him hunch down in the bathtub and then pop up,” she explained. “It was pretty funny to see Matthew, with all that height, condensed into one position, and then just spring up like a jack-in-the-box."

As for her thoughts on the Littlejohn union after the finale, Rosinsky said she hopes the marriage is much improved. "I think the lines of communication are open again with both of her parents,” she surmised. “...There might be some trust issues with her dad for a while...But yeah, I think it’s a healthier family, and they're getting things out in the open."
Of course, The Miniature Wife showrunners, Ames and Turner, are the only people who actually know what happens to the Littlejohns.
"I feel that they're possibly doing really great,” Ames said of Lindy and Les. “But I cannot tell you how long that will last."
Turner then teased, "We have big plans for a Season 2 that would reveal everything."
