1. The Woman in the Yard (2025) 

When a young woman (Danielle Deadwyler) moves into her late grandmother’s home, she uncovers terrifying secrets buried in the backyard and something that refuses to stay hidden. The film blends psychological suspense with supernatural dread as grief collides with horror.

2. Black Phone (2022) 

This sinister thriller takes you back to the suburbs of the late 1970s. After 13-year-old Finney (Mason Thames) is abducted by a masked killer, he discovers a disconnected phone that lets him communicate with the previous victims. Blending supernatural elements with edge-of-your-seat tension, this horror movie is a terrifying fight for survival that proves the past never really stays silent.

3. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)  

This horror classic follows five friends on their drive through rural Texas. A stop at a dilapidated house results in them falling prey to a chainsaw-wielding masked man and his cannibalistic family.

4. Sick (2022) 

Written by Scream creator Kevin Williamson, this pandemic-set slasher follows Parker (Gideon Adlon) and her best friend Miri (Bethlehem Million) as they retreat to a remote lake house for quarantine. Their isolation quickly turns deadly when masked intruders descend, forcing them to outwit attackers who know more about them than they should.

5. Candyman (2021) 

A daring reimagining of the 1992 cult classic, the horror redo is directed by Nia DaCosta and co-written by Jordan Peele. Anthony McCoy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) is a visual artist drawn to the urban legend of the Candyman, an obsession that awakens something sinister. Say his name, and the nightmare begins.

6. Borderline (2025) 

Samara Weaving leads this psychological thriller as a young pop star, Sofia, whose routine business trip spirals into paranoia after she suspects someone is following her. Co-starring Eric Bana (Munich) and Margaret Qualley (Maid), the film balances nail-biting tension with sharp twists as Sofia’s grip on reality slips. With shifting perspectives and a dangerous chase that blurs truth from delusion, making her question if the threat is real or if it’s all in her head.

7. Happy Death Day (2017) 

Tree Gelbman (Jessica Rothe) is a college student forced to relive the day of her murder over and over until she unmasks her killer. Blending slasher terror with dark comedy and a surprising emotional core, the film turns the classic time-loop premise into a deadly guessing game where every reset brings Tree closer to the truth or another brutal end.

8. Ma (2019) 

Sue Ann (Octavia Spencer) is a lonely woman who befriends a group of teens (Diana Silvers, Corey Fogelmanis, and McKaley Miller) and offers them her basement as a party spot. But what begins as an act of generosity turns sinister as Sue Ann’s fixation deepens and her dark past resurfaces.

9. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II (2024) 

After the first film’s “Hundred Acre Massacre,” Christopher Robin is forced to flee to his hometown of Ashdown. Pooh, Piglet, and more childhood favorites are back for this disturbing twist on a children’s classic.

10. The Mouse Trap (2024) 

Inspired by Walt Disney’s short Steamboat Willie, Simon Phillips’ twisted take on the original animation portrays the mouse as a masked killer. When a group of friends gets trapped in an arcade after hours, they’re left to face off with the murderous mouse.
