Motorsports
IMSA
The final and most prestigious race of the IMSA season is here. The fastest, toughest drivers IMSA has on its roster face off at Road Atlanta in a true test of endurance: The Motul Petit Le Mans. White-knuckle racing takes on a new meaning when drivers have to stay fast and focused for 10 straight hours. This course won’t make it easy for them either. With 12 turns along its 2.5-mile length, there’s no chance to rest. When they call this an endurance race, they mean it.

U.S. Soccer
The USMNT isn’t just sitting home and watching the rest of the continents play. They need all the reps they can get to prepare for next year’s big show. With only one more international break in 2025, this is an important match for the U.S. squad. Their last pair of friendlies saw them fall to South Korea before bouncing back with a win over Japan. They’ll hope to keep up that momentum when Ecuador comes to town. La Tri is one of the toughest squads in this hemisphere. If the USMNT can beat them, or even hold them to a draw, they’ll be in good shape for next year.

Gainbridge Super League
Gainbridge Super League gives us four games over the next five days, meaning the teams playing on Sunday and Tuesday will know exactly what’s at stake if they don’t win. Fort Lauderdale United is on top despite a draw last week, but the next three clubs are all catching up. Lexington SC, Spokane Zephyr FC, and Dallas Trinity FC are all at 10 points, only two behind first place. Lexington has a chance to jump into first place, at least temporarily, with a match against seventh-place Carolina Ascent. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the table, Brooklyn FC and Tampa Bay Sun FC face each other for a chance to climb out of the last places. We’re still early in the season, but there’s a ton to play for.

French defending champion Leon Marchand will compete this weekend alongside U.S. rival Carson Foster. We'll also see stars of the sport like Kate Douglass, Regan Smith, and more.

Big Ten Women’s Volleyball
The Battle for Los Angeles comes to the volleyball court. No. 22 USC heads across town to face UCLA in an important early-season matchup for both teams. The Trojans are 10–4, which is enough to make the rankings, but they’re coming off a two-game losing streak. Falling to both Indiana and No. 13 Purdue, the Trojans need to start winning again to stay up. Meanwhile, UCLA are 9–6 and coming off a big win over No. 14 Minnesota. They want to keep that momentum going, and what sweeter way to build a streak than by beating a rival in front of the home crowd? This is going to be a hard-fought match on both sides of the net, and we’ll be glued to the couch for every minute.
Saturday Oct 11 at 3p ET: USC (22) vs. UCLA
Speed Skating
Short Track World Tour
It’s Speed Skating season again. No sport offers quite the same mix of tension, strategy, speed, and adrenaline. Particularly short track, where explosivity and precise timing are crucial to not getting left behind. The 2025-26 season kicks off in Montreal with an event that doubles as a Winter Olympics qualifier. The absolute best in the world will be giving it their all this weekend to earn a spot in Milan-Cortina.
Saturday Oct 11 at 1:35p ET: Montreal – Day 1
Sunday Oct 12 at 1:35p ET: Montreal – Day 2
Football
Notre Dame Football
Improving to 3–2 after a victory over Boise State, the No. 16 Fighting Irish are staying in South Bend this week. Notre Dame jumped five spots in the rankings thanks to their 28–7 rout of Boise State. They’ll need to keep playing dominant football over their remaining opponents if they want to keep climbing and be eligible for the playoffs once selection time comes around. With losses to the only two ranked teams on their schedule, Notre Dame has a tough road ahead of them. At this point, they have no ranked teams left on their schedule, but that doesn’t mean any of these games are easy. It just means Notre Dame can’t lose any more. If they can continue to win big like they have been these past three weeks, we could see the Irish in the playoffs once again.
Saturday Oct 11 at 3:30p ET: NC State vs. Notre Dame (21)

Big Ten Football
The biggest college football game of the week is on Big Ten Saturday Night. No. 15 Michigan is 4–1 overall, but undefeated in Big Ten play so far. The Wolverines head out west this weekend to face a USC squad that fell out of the rankings after a loss to No. 17 Illinois two weeks ago. The Trojans are still a tough team, and eager to get back in the rankings. They’ll give the Wolverines a challenge, especially with the home crowd behind them.
Saturday Oct 11 at 7p ET: Michigan (15) vs. USC

NFL
Sunday Night Football is back in Kansas City where the Chiefs will take on the Detroit Lions. The Chiefs find themselves in an unfamiliar position at this point in the season: down. They’re 2–3 on the season and third in the AFC West. Both the Chargers and the Broncos have outperformed them so far. It’s still early in the season, and Patrick Mahomes is still Patrick Mahomes. If this team can start working together and close tight games, we’ll see them back in the playoffs once again. Detroit on the other hand continues to be a powerhouse. They’ve only lost one game this season and are first in the NFC North. They’ve beaten their opponents by simply running up the score, and they’re very good at it. Despite their current standing, the Chiefs can do that too. The Lions will have to be relentless to outpace Mahomes in Kansas City.

Cycling
Paris-Tours
Long, multi-stage monuments are fun, but sometimes you crave a one-day sprint. Paris-Tours doesn’t feature the brutal climbs the longer races do, but what climbs it does have, it packs into the final 70km. That final stretch also features unpaved roads that the peloton will have to power through while still saving enough energy to pull ahead once they enter the city of Tours.

Basketball
NBA
The NBA regular season is so close, but we’ve got one more preseason matchup before we get there. This one is a must-see and an excellent preview of some potential powerhouses of the coming season. The Oklahoma City Thunder are coming off their first NBA Championship since they moved out of Seattle. They maintained their talent-loaded squad through the offseason and are poised to make another run to the Finals this season. We’ll see how they fare against the Milwaukee bucks, who are built for success with superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. With an overhauled roster, they want nothing less than a return to the top of the Eastern Conference, and a dance with the champs could be a great warm-up for just such a run.
