Soccer
Premier League
Liverpool took their first loss last weekend against Crystal Palace, who rocketed into third place on the table. The Eagles are now the only undefeated club in the league. If they can keep that pace up, they could emerge as a real contender for this year’s title. For their part, Liverpool is still in first place, though now only two points ahead of second-place Arsenal. With a match against 19th-place West Ham this weekend, Arsenal has a real chance to move into the top spot. Especially with Liverpool facing Chelsea this weekend. The Blues have fallen to eighth place after two straight losses, but you can never count them out, especially when they’re playing at home. Only a few points separate the top clubs on the table, so every weekend could end in some dramatic shake-ups.
Saturday Oct 4 at 10a ET: Arsenal v West Ham
Saturday Oct 24 at 10a ET: Chelsea v Liverpool
Sunday Oct 5 at 9a ET: Aston Villa v Burnley
Sunday Oct 5 at 9a ET: Wolves v Brighton
Sunday Oct 5 at 9a ET: Everton v Crystal Palace

Gainbridge Super League
Fort Lauderdale United took first place in the Gainbridge Super League after their third straight win. In that same time, former first-place Dallas Trinity has taken two losses and a draw, putting them one point behind the new frontrunners. Rounding out the top four are Lexington SC and Spokane Zephyr with nine points each. This is another weekend that could change all that, though. With eight of the nine teams all facing off this weekend, we might see some wild position changes on Saturday. Fort Lauderdale defends their newfound top spot in a Florida derby against Tampa Bay. Meanwhile Sporting JAX has a chance to break into the Top Four when they take on seventh-place Brooklyn FC, who’ve only seen one win so far this season.
Saturday Oct 4 at 6p ET: Brooklyn FC vs. Sporting JAX
Saturday Oct 4 at 7p ET: Carolina Ascent FC vs. DC Power FC
Saturday Oct 4 at 7:30p ET: Tampa Bay Sun FC vs. Fort Lauderdale United FC
Saturday Oct 4 at 9p ET: Spokane Zephyr FC vs. Lexington SC
Liga MX
Get ready for one of the most intense matches of the Apertura so far. Tigres UANL hosts Cruz Azul in a battle between two top-six Liga MX clubs. Tigres is in fifth place, only two points behind Cruz Azul. If they deliver a home win, not only do they rocket past their fourth-place foe, they could find themselves in contention for the top spot if Toluca and Monterrey both lose. Despite being in a lower place currently than Cruz Azul, Tigres is on a hot streak. They’ve won their last two matches and would love to make it three in front of the home crowd. Meanwhile Cruz Azul is coming off a loss to Tijuana. They’ll be playing angry and looking to bounce back, but that’s a tall order for any away team, especially when they’re so close in the standings.

Football
Notre Dame Football
The Fighting Irish have moved up to No. 21 on the AP Top 25 College Football Poll after a 56–13 win over Arkansas. Their road to the playoffs is still a little unclear. Currently, there are no ranked teams left on Notre Dame’s schedule. Their best hope is for USC to make it back into the rankings over the next two weeks. Failing that, if they can keep putting these dominant performances together, they could keep moving up the rankings. This weekend, they welcome Boise State to South Bend. The Broncos are 3–1 with wins over Air Force, App State, and Eastern Washington. They’ll put up a fight, but this is a game where Notre Dame needs another dominant performance. Find out if the Irish can keep their upward momentum LIVE.

Big Ten Football
Big Ten Saturday Night returns to the Shoe this weekend, where No. 1 Ohio State hopes to continue their streak of dominance. The Buckeyes continue to be the top-ranked team after beating Washington 24–6 in their first conference matchup of the season. Next, they’ll take on Minnesota. The Golden Gophers are 3–1 after last week’s win over Rutgers. They’re a talented team, but beating Ohio State in Columbus is no easy task for anyone. Especially when Ohio State needs another dominant performance to stay ahead of No. 2 Oregon, who just shot up the rankings by beating No. 7 Penn State last weekend. The race for the Big Ten Championship is heating up, and every game feels like the big one.

NFL
Sunday Night Football takes us back to Buffalo, NY for a showdown between two AFC East rivals. The New England Patriots are on the road this weekend against the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots’ dynasty days may be behind them now, but they could be building something special up there in Foxborough. They’re now 2–2 with wins over the Dolphins and Panthers. Quarterback Drake Maye is looking better each week, and the Patriots could be turning into a real contender this season. They’ll face a tough test this weekend when they take on the undefeated Buffalo Bills. The Bills have been on fire since the season started, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. The Patriots will have to match Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s scoring abilities if they want to keep up on the road this Sunday. That’s tough for any team, but especially one with a second-year quarterback.

NBA
We can’t wait for the NBA season to start. Thankfully, we get a couple of preseason games to tide us over until Tip-Off. We’re starting the preseason off in Cleveland, where the Chicago Bulls take on the hometown Cavaliers. The Cavs are coming off the best season they’ve had in years, and hope to improve on that in the coming year with a deeper playoff run. The Bulls went on a tear at the end of the season, but for the third year in a row, failed to make it past the Play-In Tournament. Both teams know they need to start the season hot, so these preseason reps are crucial for players on both sides of the court.
