Warning: Spoilers ahead!
1. Episode 8: Rob and Leah’s Connection Takes a Brutal Turn
Rob Rausch and Leah Kateb started the season as a fan-favorite couple, surviving Australian bombshell Liv Walker, who failed to turn Rob’s head. But the arrival of Andrea Carmona and Nicole Jacky in this episode shake things up for the star-crossed pair. After Andrea and Rob share a kiss during their beach date, Leah and Rob discuss their feelings, but their conversation quickly hits a wall when Rob begins to cry.
In an infamous scene, he abruptly exits the conversation and dives into the pool to let his tears flow — away from the cameras. At the recoupling, Rob abandons Leah to stand next to Andrea, prompting Leah to mouth “f*** you” to him as he rolls his eyes.

2. Episode 12: Andrea Is Dumped From the Villa
Nothing pulled fans in more than the self-named PPG, the friendship trio made up of Leah, Serena Page, and JaNa Craig. The girls loved and supported each other throughout the course of the season, but they also fought like sisters.
When Connor recouples with Leah, dumping JaNa, things get heated in the “Burning Sun” challenge. During the challenge, Connor Newsum throws water on JaNa, adding insult to injury, while Kordell Beckham and Serena dump water on Connor and Leah as the most toxic couple. At the end of the episode, there is a surprise dumping that has a ripple effect on the rest of the season. The girls vote out Andrea and Rob threatens to leave as Aaron cries hysterically and instigates a shouting match with the other Islanders.

3. Episode 15: “Backseat”-Gate
Sometimes a bombshell is a blessing in disguise. Fans were rooting for JaNa, who was the last person in PPG to find her match. Her instant chemistry with Kenny Rodriguez, along with their romantic date frolicking in the blue waters of Fiji, is a refreshing break from the rollercoaster she’s endured in the Villa. But drama is never far behind, and the episode also introduces the infamous “backseat” argument — a misunderstanding that would persist all the way to the reunion.
Rob accuses Leah of lying about taking a backseat to the vote to kick out Andrea and when Leah calls over Liv thinking she’ll support her, Liv sides with Rob. Liv and Rob gang up on Leah until Serena steps in to defend her friend. The argument crystallizes Rob’s trust issues with Leah until she is vindicated when the complete footage is shown at the reunion.

4. Episode 22: Casa Amor Recoupling
Many fans would argue that this episode is the best in Love Island USA history, and they have a compelling case. From start to finish, the episode is tear-filled, high-stakes, and chaotically messy. The girls in the Villa win a challenge so they receive a video from Casa Amor of Aaron Evans kissing Daniela Ortiz-Rivera and Kordell kissing Daia McGhee. Kaylor Martin cries over Aaron’s lack of loyalty while Serena is furious at Kordell for being intimate with Daia.
In the most nerve-wracking recoupling of the season, PPG and Kaylor have fiery exchanges with the men who they feel disrespected them. Aaron shuts down when he realizes he is caught. Viewers will never forget the sight of Serena flipping off Kordell when he apologizes to her after recoupling with Daia in Casa Amor, leaving her single and vulnerable. This episode is a must-watch, and cements the season as legendary.

5. Episode 24: Serena and Kordell Fight on the Dock
This episode deals with the fallout after Casa Amor merges with the Villa. Kaylor and Aaron try to figure what to do after his betrayal. JaNa tearfully cuts things off with Kenny in the red dress she wore for him. When Leah and Serena check on him, he breaks down in tears and rubs his chest from the heartache. After bringing back Sierra Mills from Casa Amor, Miguel Harichi pulls Leah for a chat and they affirm their connection with each other.
But the biggest moment from the episode is when Serena confronts Kordell after receiving conflicting information from Daia about his intentions. The iconic scene of a tearful Serena cursing out Kordell on the dock is etched in Season 6 history. Viewers saw the full extent of Serena’s anger, but more importantly how hurt she was and how much she cared for Kordell.

6. Episode 36: A Couple Is Crowned the Winners
It wouldn’t be Love Island without love connections, and this episode reminds us what the show is really about. After seeing all the ups and downs of PPG and the other Islanders throughout the season, the finale is a culmination of their Villa experiences and being put through the relationship wringer. Serena and Kordell are crowned the winners of Season 6, and they celebrate with Leah and Miguel, JaNa and Kenny, and Nicole and Kendall Washington.
