It's the end of an era for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as one of the biggest stars in the company's history prepares to take his final bow. After a yearlong farewell tour of the WWE Universe, John Cena will take to the ring one last time on December 13, exclusively on Peacock.

Cena's match is the highlight of this week's WWE Saturday Night's Main Event card, and will see him taking on "The Ring General" Gunther, who won the right to face Cena in a 16-man tournament earlier this year. Here's everything you need to know about how to watch.

What to know about John Cena's final WWE match

Cena's spent the last year performing in more than a dozen matches as part of a farewell tour, all building to this December 13 farewell on what will be the last Saturday Night's Main Event of 2025. The match will cap a 23-year career with WWE that has seen him win a whopping 17 world championships, defeat some of the biggest names to ever grace the squared circle, and become a global superstar.

In the opposite corner is Gunther, a rising star in WWE who first signed with the company in 2018 and has been on the main roster since 2022. Gunther's disciplined, rigid style has made him a powerful force within WWE in recent years, and facing Cena in his final match is clearly an enviable position for the 38-year-old Austrian. If he wins, he'll forever be the guy who retired John Cena, but even if he loses, he gets to be a part of WWE history.

Plus, because this is a major WWE event bidding farewell to its most visible superstar, keep your eye out for surprises and cameos along the way, not to mention fellow legends watching from ringside.
