How to Watch Bucks vs. Magic & Thunder vs. Lakers: Peacock NBA Monday
This week's Peacock NBA Monday doubleheader features some of the league's best.
We're in the midst of NBC Sports' "Legendary February" right now, and much of the coverage is dominated by Super Bowl LX and, of course, the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. But that doesn't mean there's no room for basketball.
The day after Super Bowl Sunday, while the 2026 Winter Games are in full swing, the NBA on NBC will be back with Peacock NBA Monday, featuring a doubleheader of must-see games. Let's take a look at what's ahead as the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers host the defending champs, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

What to expect from Peacock NBA Monday on February 9
The Bucks are struggling right now. After a will-they/won't-they week with the NBA trade deadline, star Giannis Antetokounmpo is still sitting with an injury until later in the month, leaving them shorthanded as they're trying to build up their record ahead of All-Star Weekend (coming to NBC and Peacock). Right now, they're sitting right outside of the playoff picture, while the Magic are sitting in a very competitive spot in the Eastern Conference. They've got Paolo Banchero playing great, they're in the thick of the postseason mix, and they're playing at home. The Bucks will have an uphill battle if they want to pull this one out.
The late game is a very interesting matchup this week, pitting two of the Western Conference's best teams against one another in what could be a preview of the playoffs. The Thunder are still at the top of the West, the first NBA team with 40 wins this season, thanks to stellar performances from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, and the rest of the squad. They've got their sights set on a repeat trip to the Finals, but LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and the Lakers are standing in their way. The Lakers have been quite good this year, with Doncic leading the team in both points and assists, and they've got the home court advantage. The Thunder won the first matchup this season between these two teams, back in November, but it could be a different game now, and you'll want to tune in and see how this unfolds.
