Warning: Spoilers ahead!

1. What drove nanny Carrie Finch to abduct Milo?

Carrie Finch (Sophia Lillis), whose real name is revealed to be Josephine, meets Milo Irvine (Duke McCloud) for the first time after accompanying her father, Rob (Erroll Shand), on an errand to collect and settle debt accrued by Colin Dobbs (Jay Ellis), the Irvines’ family friend and Marissa’s (Sarah Snook) business partner, over Easter Weekend.

In speaking with Milo, Carrie learns his unique ability to “taste color,” a neurological condition called synesthesia that she also has. Through their conversation Carrie begins to become obsessed with Milo, believing he is the son that she lost after giving birth to him years ago.

2. How did Peter’s web of lies lead to Milo’s abduction?

Peter’s (Jake Lacy)  decision five years earlier, when he and Marissa got into a head-on collision with Josie and her partner Kyle (Dominic Masterson), unleashed a chain of devastation. The only one conscious after the crash, he realized their biological son was dead. Panic took hold and Peter made a life-altering decision. Terrified by the idea of Marissa’s grief and desperate to preserve the illusion of their perfect family, he made the unthinkable move to swap their own child with the surviving baby, Carrie’s real son.

So after Carrie reconnects with Milo years later, she’s motivated by the belief that Milo is in fact her son and orchestrates his kidnapping. Milo's abduction was not a random crime but a desperate act of vengeance and maternal love, triggered entirely by Peter's initial decision to lie about the baby swap.

3. Who was culpable in helping Carrie?

Carrie visited prison to enlist the help of her ex-boyfriend, Kyle, and later plots with her father Rob. Kyle earnestly agrees to help Carrie because he still loves her and also believes Milo to be their biological son. However, her father has his own agenda and tries to use Milo to extort money from the Irvines.

4. How are all of the deaths in All Her Fault connected to one another?

The series’ trail of dead bodies all stems from Peter’s lie, when he secretly swapped babies after the car accident years earlier. Five deaths mark this twisted saga, with Peter as the final victim. Kyle, Carrie’s ex-boyfriend and partner in the kidnapping, is murdered by Rob, who wants Milo back with the Irvines so he can collect ransom money. Rob’s plan ends violently when Peter kills him during the ransom exchange.

Carrie breaks into the Irvine home in an attempt to expose Peter and warn Marissa, only to be shot dead by Peter after a brutal struggle. Before her death, Carrie has an altercation with Colin, Marissa’s colleague and family friend, accidentally shooting and killing him. Every shocking turn leads back to Peter’s original deception, a single act that spirals into betrayal, bloodshed, and tragedy.

5. Did Peter kill Carrie intentionally?

Whether it was out of desperation or an in-the-moment decision, it is strongly suggested that Peter intentionally killed Carrie to silence her from sharing the truth about Milo.

During their struggle, Peter charges at Carrie to prevent her from playing the recording that contains all the evidence that connects him to the fateful night of the car accident. Carrie dies before being able to expose Peter’s deception and does not get her intuition about Milo validated.

6. Is Peter held accountable for the crimes he committed?

Marissa is finally able to listen to the recording Carrie had on her phone, where she discovers that Peter was the one who went to the motel to retrieve their son Milo. She was led to believe Milo was returned to them by a stranger, as he was found in a car trunk. The recording also heavily implied that Peter killed Rob.

Marissa confronts Peter and he admits to switching the babies at the accident site, claiming that he had made the decision in desperation, believing that Marissa had died along with their own son. After learning the full extent of Peter's lies and hand in several deaths, Marissa is shaken by Peter’s callous confession and decides to take matters into her own hands, crafting a plan to poison Peter under the guise of his fatal soy allergy. In the end, Peter dies because of Marissa's calculated revenge, rather than facing legal prosecution for all of his crimes.

As the layers of deception peel away, the truth behind Milo’s disappearance is darker than anyone could have imagined. Each revelation forces the Irvine family, and viewers alike, to confront the fragile boundaries between trust and betrayal.

All Her Fault doesn’t just solve a mystery; it exposes the haunting reality of how far people will go to protect their carefully constructed image. You’ll be left questioning the depths of how close loyalty, love, and darkness can intertwine.
