What to expect from Peacock's Fever vs. Mystics game

Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell's dual offensive threat

This is, for the most part, a pretty classic matchup between a potent offense and a solid defense. The Fever boast one of the league's highest-scoring shooting corps, thanks to the combination of Clark and Kelsey Mitchell. Clark, trying to make the most of the 2026 campaign after an injury-plagued 2025, leads the WNBA in assists, and while she's scoring around 20 points per game, she's not the leading scorer on the Fever. That honor goes to Mitchell, who's turning in around 21 points per game, creating a very effective dual attack alongside Clark.

Fight from Sonia Citron and Kik Iriafen

The Mystics' offense doesn't have quite the same potency, but they've got scorers in players like 2025 All-Rookie team member Sonia Citron, who's making her way back from injury and should be healthy by Monday's game. They've also got one of the best rebounding squads in the league right now, led by Kiki Iriafen, who's averaging more than 10 rebounds per game. Overall, Washington allows fewer points and gets more rebounds than Indiana, and the last time these teams met the Mystics got the win in overtime. Can they overcome the Fever's scoring prowess and pull off another upset? We'll find out Monday night.

WNBA Commisioner's Cup intensity

This game also serves as an installment in the WNBA Commissioner's Cup, the league's in-season competition for the title trophy and bragging rights. Teams will compete in 49 Commissioner's Cup games throughout the first half of June, ending on June 17. The teams with the best record in each of the league's two conferences will then compete in a Championship game on June 30.
