Before they were “Nicolandria” on Love Island USA Season 7, Nicolas Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen were just two Islanders taking a leap of faith and looking for love in a tropical Villa. They entered Fiji with a spark that was (to them) deniable at first but slowly burned throughout the season, eventually igniting the flames of a Love Island love story unlike any other.
Secret desires fueled steamy makeouts during challenges, and a strong foundation of friendship gave way to vulnerable conversations and sweet gestures, each breadcrumb keeping viewers fed. Relive some of Nic and Olandria’s best moments on Love Island.

1. Episode 1: The First Kiss Leaves Nic Wanting More
As fate would have it, Olandria and Nic are among the first to arrive at the Villa. As the first group of Islanders get to know each other and Ace reveals his tender age of 22, the 27-year-old Olandria exclaims he’s just a baby. “You still got breast milk on your breath!” she teases. Nic immediately makes it known that he is much more mature at 24. “I’m almost grown,” he declares with a smile as he locks eyes with Olandria.
When it comes time for the much anticipated first coupling, the girls choose who to couple up with after taking two boys for a test run with a kiss. Olandria kisses Taylor first and then confidently walks up to Nic, saying “Come on, cream,” as he takes her hand and twirls her around before she gives him his first real Love Island lip-lock. “This one got a little spice to it,” she says approvingly. “He’s seasoned,” as she walks away with a satisfied smile.
The following night, when host Ariana Madix gives the Islanders the chance to anonymously kiss an Islander they may secretly have a thing for, Nic jumps at the chance to go back for seconds while everyone, including their couples, sits blindfolded. After a kiss that even had Ariana gasping, Olandria is left wondering who the mystery suitor could possibly be.

2. Episode 8: The Cherry on Top
Challenges nearly became synonymous with Nic and Olandria making out. But during “Pucker or Pie,” things go in a slightly different direction. When asked to choose which Islander other than his partner he thinks is the best kisser, Olandria is top of mind for Nic. In a toss-up between another hot makeout or a pie to her face, the coin flip regrettably falls on pie, but Nic still finds an opportunity for flirtation and feeds Olandria the cherry before saying “I’m sorry” and gently pieing her in the face. Ever the gentleman, Nick stands by her side long enough to swipe his finger across her face for a taste.

3. Episode 21: Coupled Up and Getting Physical
After Nic and Olandria run off together while everyone else in the Villa thinks they’ve been dumped, they find themselves on one of the most romantic dates of the season, surrounded by candles in a secluded wooded location. Nic recalls seeing Olandria’s smile when the car door opened to whisk them away, and thinking, “Oh my God, my queen, I’ve been missing you this whole time.”
Given the option to remain single and leave the island immediately or couple up and return to the Villa together, they make the obvious choice to couple up, as Nic reveals he’s been wanting to get to know Olandria better and have deeper conversations, ready to level up from being her secret admirer. Olandria confesses she questioned if there was anything between them but didn’t think much of it since neither one ever pulled the other for a chat. “Fun first date, yeah?” Nic muses as he plants gentle kisses on each of her hands and they re-enter the Villa as a newly minted couple.
Following a heavy make out challenge back at the Villa, Nic and Olandria have a chat in Soul Ties where Nic checks in on how things are going between them. When Olandria mentions their chemistry in challenges was glaringly obvious to everyone, Nic gets flustered and admits that she makes him a little nervous. “It’s not, like, a normal nervous,” he explains. “I really like your strong personality; it makes me intrigued.” In his confessional, Nic says they have a strong physical connection and proclaims Olandria “one of the most attractive women I’ve ever seen in my lifetime.”
Nic suggests testing that physical connection to see if their chemistry checks out outside of a challenge. Getting a bit flustered herself, Olandria replies, “There’s only one way to find out,” and let their lips do the talking.

4. Episode 22: The Shirt Off Nic’s Back
Love is in the details in a small but heart-melting moment. Following Olandria’s off-handed comment about how cold it gets when the Islanders lounge while chatting in the Villa, Nic pulls the shirt off his back without hesitation and hands it to her, proving chivalry isn’t dead. Later, after learning that Nic only brought six shirts to the island, it makes his romantic gesture even sweeter that he spared one for his girl.

5. Episode 30: Make Way for "Nolandria"
In the aftermath of Nic’s strongest connection leaving the Villa, Olandria stays by Nic’s side as he rides a wave of emotions. While expressing his gratitude for her support and loyalty, Nic tells Olandria that he also appreciates how she brings out a manlier side to him and feels that he encourages her funnier side with his goofball energy.
Always treating Olandria like a queen, Nic escorts her to the dock for one last intimate chat before the final recoupling but not before he wipes away all the puddles, ensuring no drop is left behind by taking a seat first to soak up the water. As they note similarities of their individual journeys, Olandria acknowledges that seeing Nic after getting dumped from Casa Amor brought her a sense of calm. Reflecting on how they initially dismissed a romantic spark, Olandria feels their heads were clouded by others’ opinions and expresses interest in still exploring their connection. “I think ‘Nolandria’ has a nice ring to it,” Nic smiles in agreement. “Whatever you decide tonight,” he assures “I’m truly happy to get to know you and be in your presence.”
When Olandria chooses Nic for the recoupling, she affirms how excited she is to spend the rest of her Love Island days with him. “I’ve loved him from the moment that I met him,” Olandria gushes.

6. Episode 33: Besties Know Best
As Nic and Olandria navigate the rapidly changing dynamics between them, they never hesitate to confide in their besties about it. While talking to Ace, Nic admits he gets butterflies when he’s around her. “I feel like I’m a teenager again or something,” he confesses, as Ace confirms that’s how love is supposed to feel. Across the pool, Olandria tells Chelly that Nic makes her giggly and his kisses are good. “I want to try kissing outside a challenge again, because I feel like we wrote it off too quick last time,” she says. “He reassures me in ways I wasn’t reassured before.”
Coming together in the Speakeasy to see where they stand, Olandria tells Nic “these last few days with you have been the highlight of it all.” They end the night with a romantic photobooth shoot and a passionate kiss.

7. Episode 36: From “Nolandria Island” to Final Vows
On their final date, Nic and Olandria take a boat ride to what Nic calls “Nolandria Island,” where they read messages from viewers who have been rooting for them from the beginning. When they sit down for a romantic picnic, Nic asks Olandria if she’s ever been in love before. She admits she’s fallen in love with the potential of a person in the past. Nic discloses that he's been in love twice but quoted the age-old saying, “The third time’s the charm.” Nic confesses he has love for her and wants to see where things go with his “hardboiled egg,” his nickname for Olandria’s tough exterior but soft, sensitive insides.
At the finale, they exchanged words of appreciation for one another and their unique journey. Olandria expresses how she's never felt so seen and understood by someone, and that it took her a while to realize that the person standing beside her may be the one she was meant to find. Nic also muses about all the signs they missed, though it was clear he always had a thing for her. “I’m not sure where we’re going, whether we become partners, lovers, or best friends,” he says. “The words on this page, the flirty eyes we share, the hugs, kisses, and laughs will never convey how much I care about you.” Here’s to hoping they find something everlasting.
