It's time to add to your Spotify playlist: The intro song for Love Island USA Season 8 is "Say You Do" by Sigala featuring Imani Williams & DJ Fresh. You can listen to the song and rewatch the opening scene featuring all of the OG Islanders dancing around Fiji, here

Originally released in 2016 as part of Sigala's debut studio album Brighter Days, "Say You Do" exemplifies everything the British-born house DJ is about. With singer-songwriter Imani Williams providing the breezy, powerful vocals and DJ Fresh working his studio magic behind-the-scenes, the track helped launch Brighter Days near the top of Billboard's Top Dance Albums chart, peaking at #9 in October 2018. (But don't be surprised if the song itself rockets up the singles chart this summer.)

Driven by a tropical percussion session and highlighted by its beach club vibe, "Say You Do" almost sounds like it was written specifically for the show.

Mariah Carey fans should pick up on an homage to the legendary singer, too — there's a gorgeous vocal run inspired by Carey's "Always Be My Baby" that is impossible to miss.

(For what it's worth, the official music video for "Say You Do" gives off major Love Island USA vibes, too. It was filmed in Jamaica — talk about a pitch-perfect track to kick off each episode.)

The tracklist for the Love Island USA Season 8 premiere was filled with certified bangers from artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, One Direction, and so many more. Each episode's tracklist is meticulously tailored to the events that play out on-screen — which isn't an easy task due to the show's quick turnaround time. (Each episode is aired 24-48 hours after filming wraps.)

In an interview with Rolling Stone in June 2025, executive producer James Barker revealed how prepared the music team must be each season.

"We work to get hundreds or sometimes thousands of songs ready to go, because we don’t know where the story’s going. 'OK, this track is going to be great for when somebody eventually breaks up with somebody, or this track is going to be the perfect first-kiss song when that comes up,'" Barker revealed. "It's all based on the feeling and the lyrical content and just making sure that in our minds, whatever story could come of Love Island, that we have something locked and ready to go for that."
