Lisa Rinna Talks "Queen" Candiace & Rob's Harry Hamlin-Like Charm: "That's His Power"
Rinna reveals the Traitor she's rooting for and why Rob Rausch’s “gorgeous male energy” didn’t affect her like the other players in The Traitors castle.
Lisa Rinna knows looks can kill, and this season of The Traitors was no exception.
“The Reunion’s coming up, so we gotta look for some fashion, honey,” Lisa told the Peacock Blog during an exclusive interview.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shed any allegiances before stepping into the games as a Traitor. She wasn’t afraid to vote off or kill Housewives like Porsha Williams or Caroline Stanbury. Lisa even wore the cursed brooch at The Black Banquet and targeted Survivor alum Yam Yam Arocho at the dinner.
Unfortunately her victory was short-lived when she was banished at the next Roundtable. Lisa was betrayed by her teammate in the Turret, snake wrangler Rob Rausch, after he rallied Faithfuls to join him in voting her out.
Peacock Blog caught up with her to find out what she thinks about her experience on the show, Rob’s charm, and his eventual betrayal. Read on to catch her surprising answers.

Peacock Blog: What do you think was your best move as a Traitor and your biggest mistake?
Lisa Rinna: I loved Killing Caroline Stanbury. That was so fun. I put my soap opera hat on and just went for it, and I was like, ‘I gave you such a good death, you should thank me.’ I did. It's much better than having to go to the chair and get the envelope, right? She got a great moment, so that was really fun.
I think I had fun as a Traitor, and I think I brought a different kind of feeling to it. So I think I did that well, but I think I sucked as a Traitor to be honest. I wasn't a great Traitor, but I was iconic, so I still feel like I won.
I wasn't a great Traitor, but I was iconic, so I still feel like I won.”
You've said you weren't as charmed by Rob Rausch as much as the other players because your husband is Harry Hamlin. Please, tell us more about that.
So when I first saw Rob, I went over to him because he was very, kind of pulled back and quiet, and everyone else is kiiking and talking, but he was kind of aloof and by himself. I like to go and engage people like that if they have that energy, so I went right over to him and started asking him questions.
He reminds me of Harry when he was in his twenties. [Also] Harry's son Dimitri, who is like one of the most gorgeous humans on the planet, so again, I'm really used to that gorgeous male energy, and so I wasn't thrown by it.
Everybody else couldn't even look Rob in the eye for more than two seconds. They were like, 'I can't even look at him!' So if you can't even look at him, you can't read him, right? And I saw that Johnny [Weir] is beside himself when he saw Rob walk by. Colton [Underwood] obviously is goo goo gaga all over the place, and so I'm just watching this going, 'That's his power.'
Yes, he's smart also, but his power is this face and his body, and then he puts those damn overalls on with no shirt. I was like, ‘Oh well, there's not much I can do about that.’ It's hard to beat.

Hearing you say he reminds you of a young Harry, would you set Rob up with either of your daughters, Amelia or Delilah?
Oh, that's a loaded question. I did say to him at one point, 'You know, I have two girls that are single. I do, and they're really cute!' But I was also joking.
Listen, everyone loves Rob right now. The whole entire world loves Rob, and I think it's great, and I love those boys. I love everyone on this cast, and I think it's a special group of people, and Rob is doing an amazing job.
Yeah, it was a bummer that he came for me, but that's the game. He's playing a great Traitor game, so I can't fault him for that, I can't.
He puts those damn overalls on with no shirt. I was like, ‘Oh well, there's not much I can do about that.’ It's hard to beat.”
I did want to get your take on watching him rally the others against you. Did you understand his decision to turn on you?
No, I did not. I think he could have easily just written my name down at the Roundtable, so I may have to ask questions about that at the Reunion because I'd like to know what drove him to do that in that moment.
For your final words to the Roundtable as you're leaving, did you think of throwing a hint to the Faithful about Rob's identity?
Yes and no. You have to be very careful, you know what I mean? When you're playing the game, you have to be careful. There’s certain rules that you have to follow, so I think that I left just the way I needed to leave.
What did you think of Candiace using her “throwaway” vote on Rob?
Queen. I literally looked over and I went, Queen. I thought to myself, Queen.
Listen, I knew I was going. I knew the writing was on the wall. That's why I didn't go crazy at that Roundtable and try to fight to save myself because, I don't know, I'm Lisa Rinna. I don't have to fight. I don't have to work that hard. If I'm gonna go, it's your loss, whatever. That's sort of where I was coming from.

You got pretty emotional in your last confessional, and you touched on leaving Housewives. What led to that moment?
The intensity of playing this game just cracked me open. I think being a Traitor is difficult because you're playing two roles, really, and it's not the easiest thing in the world, even though I wanted to do it.
You're so physically, emotionally... you're so spent at that point. When you're finally banished, it's like a sense of relief in a way. The guard can come down, and it just cracked me open, and I couldn't stop crying. It was just like pouring out of me, and I just allowed it, and I'm really glad that it happened.
[The game] changed me. It completely changed me, and I'm so grateful for it. I had such a great time. I love everyone, and I just wouldn't want it any other way. It was a gift. It was an absolute gift.
That's why I didn't go crazy at that Roundtable and try to fight to save myself because, I don't know, I'm Lisa Rinna. I don't have to fight.”
Where do you stand with the Housewives that you burned in the process, like Caroline Stanbury or Porsha Williams?
Well, listen, I know that Porsha is not super happy, but then again, she didn't have a whole lot to talk about in her press tour. I mean, she was only there for one episode, so I understand having me be the topic, but if you remember, Candiace really was the first one to point Porsha out, and so I don't feel like I was the only one.
Ron [Funches] had the best evidence. He did, and I was not gonna vote for Porsha. I was gonna probably go with Donna [Kelce], but when I heard what Ron had to say, and we were looking for a Secret Traitor, remember, I went with Porsha. And the truth is, I'm a Traitor. I don't have an alliance to anyone, and I'm not a Housewife anymore, so I certainly don't have an alliance to a Housewife, so I was like, 'What's the big deal?'
I couldn't understand it to be honest, but then I guess there's a whole lore of Housewives have to have Housewives and Gamers have to have Gamers' backs, and I'm like, 'Yeah, but that doesn't work for me, so whatever.' I'm not a Housewife, so why would I have an alliance to Housewives? I'm a Traitor. I have an alliance to no one but myself, right? So that's how I played the game. It wasn't personal. I was looking for a Secret Traitor.
Is there someone you would like to see on Traitors from the Fox Force Five or RHOBH?
I mean, I think Erika [Jayne] would be great. I do. I think Erika would be the one that comes to the top of the list.
How about from the acting world?
Oh my God, I mean, anybody that feels like they should do it should do it, because it's such an amazing experience. It just changes you. I'd love to see a big actor do it, like somebody that is the Mike White going on Survivor.
I would like to see like Julia Roberts saying, I wanna go do Traitors. Wouldn't that be fun?

How did things end with Colton?
Colton was a great nemesis for me, and I've said that from day one. I mean, that was fun.
To me, that's the game, and did I expect him to come at me? No. Did I use it and play with it? Yes, and we had a really good time doing it and so I said to him, ‘Thank you for being such a great nemesis for me,’ so that's how I feel about that.
Are you rooting for Candiace or Rob, or someone else?
I'm rooting for Candiace.
