Caroline Stanbury Talks the Housewives Coming for Each Other: "We're Not a Girl Band"
The Ladies of London star's time on The Traitors came to an end when she was murdered (face-to-face) by not one, but two Housewives.
SPOILER WARNING: This story reveals major plot points from Episodes 1-4 of The Traitors Season 4.
A Housewife-on-Housewife murder might have been the perfect crime to throw off Faithfuls, for now.
The Traitors Lisa Rinna, Candiace Dillard Bassett, and Rob Rausch executed a face-to-face murder in the woods in Episode 4 “Cut the Head off the Snake.” Faithfuls Kristen Kish, Eric Nam, and Ron Funches were up for murder and begged for their lives in the woods, but it was Dubai Housewife Caroline Stanbury who got the axe. She removed her blindfold and was shocked to find fellow Housewives responsible for her murder in the games.
“Rinna you b*tch,” Stanbury told the treacherous trio in the episode, questioning why they chose her. Murdering a fellow Housewife would throw people off the scent of the Traitors, Rinna later admitted in a confessional.
In an exclusive interview with Peacock Blog, Stanbury reveals how she feels about the Housewives’ betrayal, which Faithfuls she hopes win it all, and who she’s going to address at the reunion “face-to-face.”

Peacock Blog: Did you want to be a Traitor or a Faithful?
Caroline Stanbury: Does anyone enter that castle wanting to be Faithful? No. I wanted to be a Traitor. Of course I did. Having said that, now I've really seen how well they did and how well they're doing it. I mean, fair play, they were the best Traitors ever, I have to say.
Lisa was a little cold to you during the murder though. If the shoe was on the other foot and you were the Traitor, would you have done the same?
100%. I would absolutely have taken Lisa out. There [are] no hard feelings and I think… that's Lisa. She is cold and tough and calculated —but so am I. I mean, it's okay. I'm not crying into my blanket, and I will see Lisa very soon.
At the end of the day, they went in and that was their tactic, to kill the Housewives, which took the heat completely from them. Housewives killing Housewives is genius.”
I loved the ‘Maybe at BravoCon,’ little exchange there. There was a consensus amongst the other Housewives that they thought that you were sticking together amongst the Faithfuls like Porsha, Dorinda. Has that rule gone out the window this season? Do you understand Lisa and Candiace's decisions?
I think Candiace is just as cold as Rinna and calculating, right? At the end of the day, they went in and that was their tactic, to kill the Housewives, which took the heat completely from them. Housewives killing Housewives is genius. Absolutely genius, and I think my last words were well, ‘I am a Housewife. I'm used to someone looking me in the eye and then stabbing me in the back,’ and that's really true.
Am I disappointed? Of course I'd like to be in there. Am I angry? Not really. I mean, it's a game and I'd like to think I'd be just as backstabbing and hard as those two B-*-*-*-Hes.
Who are you rooting for now that you're not in the games?
Well, definitely not them. I'm rooting for Johnny [Weir], Colton [Underwood], Yam Yam [Arocho], Eric. Those are my friends. Those are my guys. I had the best time. They made my time in the castle — Tara [Lipinski] — so much better. I really, really, really enjoyed myself, and I have to say I made some really good friends. Kristen. I like so many of them. I’d have been [a] terrible Traitor.
I saw your fellow Dubai Housewife, Chanel Ayan's FaceTime with you about advice for The Traitors, which was lovely. Did you take her advice? What was the book you brought? Did you bring any snacks like she recommended?
I brought loads of snacks. I actually watched TV, so I didn't read as many books as her and stuff like this. But she was incredibly sweet to pass on all of that kind of advice, but again I didn't do much better than she did. I think I lasted one more [episode].
Obviously, she was rooting for me and I think…all of our lot, that the other Housewives outside, we are rooting for each other. I think you know look, who knows what would have happened... You can't plan for these things. It is what it is. Who would have ever imagined there would be two Housewife Traitors?

Peacock Blog: Did you have a strategy going into the castle or did it change at all once you got there?
I was quite vocal. You just didn't get to see it, but I do feel like I did know from Dorinda [Medley], who felt she was too loud and too friendly the first time, and she did say try, and like, scooch by a bit. But no, I didn't have a tactic because I didn't know the other people well enough that they would understand my different moods and my different characteristics, if I was changing or not, because they didn't know me so I just wanted to go in and get to know everyone as quickly as possible because you have [a] very, very short period of time to make judgments on people that changes their lives.
You mentioned you're still rooting for Colton, and he was pretty sad for letting you down. Have you forgiven him for making you vulnerable to murder?
I was never angry at him. I absolutely ran Dorinda down to get Colton. I was using Colton as my shield.
Colton was the guy that did everything for me, and so I'm not going to be angry at him at all. I've never been angry at him or thought badly of him. He did his best. I know he did, and I think just the nerves caught up with him. Obviously, he's a football player, so, you know, his feet probably [laughs] are better for him than his hands, his building skills. And he felt terrible… I'm not going to punish him for that so it could have been anyone.
I did not want to do that challenge, and he did it for me so no, I'm not going to get upset with him. I'm having dinner with him when I see him.
Editor’s note: Underwood played American football with the NFL after playing for Illinois State University.
Peacock Blog: Going back to Lisa and Candiace, did you suspect them at all? When you took off that blindfold, were you shocked?
I was really shocked. When I got into the castle, I did think Rinna kept keeping herself slightly away from everybody, but I thought that that was just Rinna being snotty. ‘Oh, darling, I'm — just too good for all this,’ I genuinely thought that that was what she was doing. I also knew in the back of my head, Rinna would be an epic villain because she is one all the time. That's her role and she was and she did it. You can't hate her for that.
We're not a girl band. We didn't join together. We didn't know each other. I don't know them like that. They don't owe me any loyalty as much as anybody else in the castle.”
Peacock Blog: Knowing what you know now, what would your advice be now to a Housewife next season that's going to hop on?
Trust no one and don't trust the Housewives. I always said that we're not a girl band. We didn't join together. We didn't know each other. I don't know them like that. They don't owe me any loyalty as much as anybody else in the castle, so I think instead of grouping everyone together, don't think about that.
Think individually because obviously…first it was the gamers, then it was the Housewives, now it's Housewives hunting Housewives. They are mixing it up to confuse you in any which way they can, so you can't get comfortable with a strategy.
Peacock Blog: Outside of The Traitors, we just want to know about your cheering squad at home. How are you and your husband Sergio Carrallo doing? Your kids?
Oh, they're really proud. Sergio's here sitting beside me, but they're all really happy for me. They're sad that I'm not still in it, but…Sergio's coming to the States. We're coming for the reunion, so we're going to be in America for a month and he's always there clapping. If I'd been on there for one second, he'd still be there clapping, so I'm very lucky.
You are no stranger to the reunions, coming from Housewives. Who do you think will be in the hot seat? Is there anyone that you want to address?
I'm going to address Rinna face-to-face. Absolutely.
I think Michael Rapaport I have a few questions for, just why does he have to be so obnoxious? I'm ready to meet them all. I liked most people.
Did you have any other outfits planned that we didn't get to see? I was loving your Traitors-style fashion.
Oh, my god. Can I tell you, I brought, I think, 18 or 20 looks? I think I wore three so, yes, I had some amazing ones coming up, but no mind. It is what it is. I'll have to go and stay in another castle and wear them there.
Unlike Lisa, I will hopefully see you around at like a BravoCon or something.
Oh, yes. [Laughs] I will see you, Lisa. I'll see you somewhere.
