Arsenal vs. Chelsea headlines English Premier League Matchweek 28
Arsenal emphatically defeated Tottenham 4-1 in the North London Derby last Sunday. Two goals apiece from summer signings Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyökeres capped off an impressive performance for the Gunners. Now tasked with another London Derby, this time in front of their home fans, Mikel Arteta's side will be eager for back-to-back wins. Arsenal hasn't kept a clean sheet in their last three league matches, but their defense will need to be stout against a dangerous Chelsea frontline. On the flip side, the Gunners have scored seven goals across those three matches, and Arteta will be hoping Gyökeres can find his form once again in this one. This game is a must win for Arsenal if they hope to keep Manchester City at bay in the title race.
Chelsea has drawn their last two Premier League matches, both being late comebacks given up at home to newly promoted teams. Manager Liam Rosenior will be disappointed with his team dropping points after taking the lead, but the Blues are in good form, having not lost a league match since their defeat to Fulham in early January. Chelsea will need talisman Cole Palmer to deliver a massive performance on Sunday; together with the in-form Joao Pedro, the pair can cause Arsenal problems. A win for the Blues on Sunday would increase their chances of finishing in the top four and put pressure on Manchester United above them.
