Ahead of April 3 Peacock Debut, Here's the Cast & Characters of Five Nights at Freddy's 2
Freddy Fazbear's animatronics are heading to Peacock on April 2, and they're scarier than ever!
A massive horror hit at the end of 2025, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 rumbles exclusively onto Peacock on April 3. The sequel expands the mythology established in the 2023 big screen adaptation, as it brings to life the massively popular video game series about killer animatronics, but with even more scares.
Again guided by the creative team of horror legend Jason Blum, award-winning Five Nights video game developer Scott Cawthon, and returning director Emma Tammi (The Wind), Five Nights at Freddy's 2 brings us back into the lives of siblings Abby and Mike Schmidt two years after the events of the first movie. While everyone assumed the Freddy Fazbear robots were destroyed, there are other franchise locations harboring plenty of spirits still wanting revenge.

Who plays who in the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 cast?
Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt
The older brother of Abby Schmidt and the former night security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, Mike Schmidt is more overprotective of his sister in this sequel. The siblings escaped escaped the murderous animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy's, and now Mike just wants to stay far away from the memory of what happened. But he's drawn back to another Fazbear's franchise location when Abby sneaks out to see her robotic "friends."
Mike is played by Josh Hutcherson, who started out as a child actor appearing in Millennial movie favorites like Zathura: A Space Adventure, the devastating Bridge to Terabithia, and the Journey to the Center of the Earth movies. Perhaps his most memorable role is empathetic District 12 Tribute Peeta Mellark, who has to survive the games alongside Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in The Hunger Games films.
Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa Shelly
Vanessa Shelly is the local police officer who takes the Schmidt siblings under her wing in Five Nights at Freddy's to warn them about the dangers hiding within the abandoned Freddy Fazbear's location. By the end of the film, she's revealed to be the daughter of the demented former owner William Afton (Matthew Lillard), and is almost killed by his possessed animatronics. In the sequel, Vanessa is still dealing with the trauma of her father's legacy.
Actress Elizabeth Lail played Guinevere Beck in the series You. She also played Lola Morgan in the series revival of Gossip Girl.

Piper Rubio as Abby Schmidt
In the first film, troubled Abby Schmidt is mourning the loss of her parents and feels ignored by her overwhelmed older brother, Mike (Hutcherson). When he gets a job as the night guard of the abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Abby joins him and bonds with the animatronic robots who come alive for her. The situation gets twisted, with the siblings having to escape for their lives. In Freddy's 2, Abby is missing her spectral friends and begs Mike to repair the animatronics at another franchise location so she can visit them again. However, there's something even more nefarious happening with the robots that puts Abby in danger.
Actress Piper Rubio got her first professional role in Coop and Cami Ask the World. She was in the holiday movie Holly & Ivy and the Rob Lowe series Unstable.
Mckenna Grace as Lisa
A brand-new character in Five Night's at Freddy's 2, Lisa is a paranormal activity hunter working with her pal Alex (Teo Briones) to uncovered the ghostly activity rumored to still exist inside Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza franchise locations.
McKenna Grace became a professional actress at age seven and made a name for herself in profile roles such as young Emma in Once Upon a Time, The Bad Seed reboot films, and the Ghostbusters: Afterlife films.
Freddy Carter as Michael Afton
Michael Afton is the son of William Afton (Matthew Lillard) and brother of Vanessa Shelly. Obsessed with the actions of his father, Freddy enters the story as someone loyal to his father's legacy and motivated to keep it alive.
Freddy Carter is a British actor with an impressive theater background. He also played Jason Ripper in the series Pennyworth, and starred in the streaming limited series Masters of the Air.
Wayne Knight as Mr. Berg
Another new character, Mr. Berg is Abby's impatient science teacher. He doesn't give Abby any leeway for her lingering trauma and makes enemies of the animatronics when he's less than kind to their human friend.
Actor Wayne Knight is a comedy legend, having created iconic characters like Newman in Seinfeld, Nedry in Jurassic Park, and even playing himself in Curb Your Enthusiasm. Knight remains an in-demand vocal performer for animation and video games.

Skeet Ulrich as Henry Emily
Another new character involved with the Afton family, Henry Emily is William's business partner in the Fazbear franchise idea. His family will be forever changed by their association with cursed Afton's and their pizza palaces.
Actor Skeet Ulrich became a modern horror icon playing Billy Loomis alongside Matthew Lillard in Scream (1996), and returned to the franchise's films in 2022. In television, he starred in beloved series like Jericho, Law & Order: LA, and Parish.

In the first Freddy's movie, William Afton was revealed to be the founder of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He used the family-friendly destinations to lure children to their deaths. In the end, he was killed by the spirits of his victims in the franchise of his making. In the sequel, audiences find out more about William's crimes, who knew about them, and how his actions impacted his two children.
Actor Matthew Lillard has been a fixture in film and television since 1994's Serial Mom. His first memorable serial killer role was playing Stu Macher in the original 1996 Scream, and he recently returned to the role in Scream 7. He played perennial coward Shaggy Rogers in the live action 2002 Scooby Doo, and has since voiced the character in video games and cartoons.
