The PONIES star shared an unforgettable photo from her dressing room on Thursday, January 15, snapped during her recent visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarke's Game of Thrones co-star Jason Momoa stopped by to say hello — and judging by the 39-year-old's smile, Clarke couldn't be happier about the impromptu development!

"New York has given me so many things to be grateful for on this trip and just when I thought it couldn’t be better... look who walked into my dressing room," Clarke captioned the post.

The actress, who played Daenerys Targaryen, also known as the Mother of Dragons, on the fantasy series, referred to Momoa as "my dragon daddy" in a hashtag and also included a hashtag for the words "we still got it."

While Clarke starred in all eight seasons of Game of Thrones, Momoa appeared in just two seasons, with his Khal Drogo marrying Daenerys in Season 1 and dying later that season, and making appearances in Season 2 in memories and visions.

It's clear that the two stars still share a bond from their time filming together on the series.

Judging by the Instagram comments, fans were overjoyed seeing the pair together. Even the official account for The Kelly Clarkson Show chimed in with the holding-back-tears emoji and a hand-forming-a-heart-shape emoji.

Clarke has been back in the spotlight thanks to PONIES hiting Peacock in mid-January. All eight episodes of the spy series — also starring Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus) — are available to stream right now.

Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke arrive at the premiere of Game Of Thrones Season 3 at TCL Chinese Theatre on March 18, 2013 in Hollywood, California.

Emilia Clarke says she'd make a terrible spy

Clarke's character is thrust into the world of international espionage in PONIES, something that the star can't relate to at all. During her January 12 visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers, Clarke confessed she'd make a "terrible" spy, revealing that she'd be bad at "all of it, absolutely everything."

"I’m bad at lying," she told Seth Meyers. "I get uncomfortable if I'm with someone and I'm maybe being mean in a certain way. Or like, that person doesn't like me."

She also had to learn Russian for PONIES, though learning new languages for TV shows is nothing new for Clarke, who had to learn the fictional language of Dothraki for Game of Thrones. Dothraki is the native language of Momoa's character, Khal Drogo.

Clarke told Peacock Blog in a January 2026 interview that Russian was actually harder for her to learn than Dothraki

As she explained, "In Russia and the rest of the world who speak Russian, they can understand if you are messing up their language. Yeah, no pressure.”
