USC vs. Notre Dame: College Football on Peacock 

Reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams has No. 10 USC off to an undefeated 6-0 start to begin the 2023 college football season. The Trojans are fresh off a triple overtime win over their Pac-12 rival Arizona Wildcats. In that game, Williams rushed for three touchdowns and the game-winning two-point conversion in the third overtime. USC head coach Lincoln Riley has helped to completely turn around the Trojan’s football program, inheriting a team that went 4-8 under then-coach Clay Helton in 2021. USC finished 11-3 in Riley’s first season last year and played in the Pac-12 title game. Southern Cal’s biggest test of the 2023 campaign comes this weekend on the road in South Bend for a Saturday night showdown vs. Notre Dame. 

No. 21 Notre Dame hosts USC at home coming off a tough 33-20 loss to the No. 25 ranked Louisville Cardinals, dropping to 5-2 on the season. The Irish had won 30 straight games against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents going back to 2017. Quarterback Sam Hartman threw three interceptions and had two fumbles in the loss. He was also sacked five times. It’s been a brutal stretch for the Fighting Irish, who lost 17-14 to No. 6 Ohio State, allowing the game-winning touchdown on the final play of the game and then facing back-to-back top 25 opponents on the road in Duke and Louisville. Saturday night’s matchup will be no easier, taking on a Trojans team that is ranked 10th in the country and is currently top five in both total offense (523.3 total yards per game) and sacks (22). 

When does USC vs. Notre Dame start? 

This Saturday night’s USC vs. Notre Dame game begins at 7p ET with College Countdown. NBC Sports’ College Football studio team of Maria Taylor, Michael Robinson, Joshua Perry, Matt Cassel, Ahmed Fareed, and Nicole Auerbach will host pregame and halftime coverage on-site from Notre Dame Stadium. Kickoff for USC vs. Notre Dame begins at 7:30 PM ET.
