Following the release of a teaser and first look images, last month, Peacock has now shared the official trailer for the upcoming event series, ted, premiering Jan 11.
In the hit film franchise that inspired the series, thirtysomething John (Mark Wahlberg) and his foul-mouthed best friend, the talking teddy bear Ted (Seth McFarlane), allude to their lifelong friendship. Now we’ll finally get to see what it was like for them to grow up together.
In ted, it's 1993, and Ted’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with 16-year-old John (Max Burkholder), John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach), and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.
In the trailer, Ted is dismayed when he learns he’ll have to attend high school with John, and he decides to help his nerdy friend catch up with the rest of his classmates.
