Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Bengals are 3–8 heading into their Thanksgiving matchup with the Ravens. After defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers back in Week 7 in Joe Flacco’s second game with the organization, Cincinnati has gone on to lose their last four games. While technically not out of the playoff picture yet, it would take a miracle for the Bengals to make the postseason this year, and the team would theoretically need to win all their remaining games to have a realistic shot. Thankfully, a miracle has come their way at the perfect time. Joe Burrow is slated to start against the Bengals on Thursday after suffering a severe turf toe injury in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Burrow is adamant that he will not sit if he’s healthy and intends to play out the rest of the season. With Ja’Marr Chase back after serving a one-game suspension, the Bengals will be close to having all their offensive firepower back on the field. Unfortunately, wide receiver Tee Higgins suffered a concussion in Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots and has already been ruled out for Thursday. The Bengals will be raring to go for this one fueled by the return of their star quarterback against their fierce division rivals.

After starting the year 1–5 and losing star quarterback Lamar Jackson to a multi-week hamstring injury, many believed the Ravens season was over. Yet, Baltimore has rallied to a 6-5 record on the back of a five game win streak, and are currently tied with the Steelers for first in the division. The Ravens still need to play the Steelers twice, including a Week 18 matchup that could be pivotal in deciding the AFC North division winner. John Harbaugh will be looking to keep his team’s momentum going against the Bengals on Thanksgiving. The Ravens swept the Bengals in their two games against each other last season, but both were decided by 3 points or less and were very high scoring, so Baltimore will need to be on point if they hope to win this one. Lamar Jackson has been dealing with injuries since his return to the lineup, but he is expected to be good to go on Thursday. He has struggled lately, failing to score a touchdown in his last two games. He will be eager to bounce back against a Bengals defense that has been one of the worst in the league this season. Joining him will be star running back Derrick Henry. After dealing with some fumbling issues early in the year, Henry has bounced back with five touchdowns in his last five games and he is on pace for well over 1,000 rushing yards yet again. On the other side of the ball, the Ravens defense has been stout throughout their five game win streak. Baltimore has allowed under 20 points in all of their last five games after conceding over 35 points four times in their first five games of the season. The team is getting hot at the right time and the Ravens hope to continue winning on Thanksgiving.
