Major League Baseball Is Coming to Peacock and NBC
Starting next season, LIVE baseball games are back on Peacock and NBC.
With the 2025 MLB season in the rearview mirror, we already can’t wait for baseball to come back. When we hear the crack of a bat and the roar of a packed ballpark, it just brings to mind everything we love about spring and summer. Next season is going to be even more exciting. Major League Baseball and NBCUniversal announced an agreement to bring LIVE baseball games back to NBC and Peacock.
It all starts on Opening Day with the day’s only primetime matchup happening on Peacock and NBC. The World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers will start their season against the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 26, 2026. If you want to catch up with Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and the rest of L.A.’s phenomenal squad, Peacock and NBC are the places to be.
Then, every Sunday night starting in April, you’ll see Sunday Night Baseball: the biggest matchup of the weekend in primetime. With Sunday Night Football in the fall, Sunday Night Basketball in the winter and early spring, and now Sunday Night Baseball, NBC is the first broadcast network to deliver LIVE primetime sports on the same night every week, year-round.
“We are excited to reignite NBC Sports’ storied Major League Baseball history through this comprehensive and innovative partnership that will honor the past and create new traditions,” said Rick Cordella, President, NBC Sports. “With the Sunday Night Baseball package, NBC and Peacock are now the year-round platforms for premier Sunday night sports programming. We can’t wait to focus our award-winning production, promotion, and storytelling on MLB’s iconic stars, teams, and rivalries to spotlight beginning on March 26. Play ball!”
In addition to Sunday Night Baseball, a Peacock-exclusive MLB Sunday Morning Leadoff game will also stream every Sunday, followed by a LIVE whip-around show bringing you the biggest moments happening around the league that day. On July 5, you’ll be able to see all the action from “Roadblock.” All 15 games that day will be LIVE across Peacock and NBC, so you’ll be able to see exactly where each team stands at the midpoint of the season.
That’s not even close to all of it. Peacock will also stream one out-of-market game every day of the season, and the All-Star futures game will be available LIVE on Peacock and NBC. Then when the regular season ends, you can stream the entire Wild Card round. Peacock is now a must-have for baseball fans in 2026.
