How to Watch NBA Coast 2 Coast Tuesday, February 24 on Peacock: Knicks vs. Cavs, T-Wolves vs. Blazers
With the All-Star Game now behind us, the NBA action is really starting to heat up!
The NBA on NBC's Coast 2 Coast Tuesday is airing exclusively on Peacock this week, so as not to compete with NBC News' coverage of the State of the Union. So that's just one more reason that Peacock is the place to be for live sports!
Peacock's Tuesday night NBA doubleheader is shaping up to be even more of a fight than politics might bring, with some of the league's best teams taking center stage. And now that the NBA All-Star Game is in the rearview, that means we're full steam ahead for some of the league's most riveting drama. So how can you catch all the action? Here's everything you need to know!
Who's playing February 24 on NBA Coast 2 Coast Tuesday?
The NBA on NBC's Coast 2 Coast Tuesday shifts exclusively to Peacock this week, and on February 24, you'll be able to catch a doubleheader featuring the New York Knicks visiting the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by the Minnesota Timberwolves visiting the Portland Trail Blazers at 10 p.m. ET.
What to expect from February 24's NBA Coast 2 Coast Tuesday doubleheader on Peacock
The first game of NBA on NBC's Coast 2 Coast Tuesday Peacock exclusive doubleheader heads to Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, where the new-look Cavs are hoping the addition of perennial All-Star point guard James Harden can help All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell and the so-close Cavaliers take that next step to ultimate NBA greatness: the NBA Championship. Of course, the first step's a doozy, as they'll be facing a game Knicks squad on Tuesday, ready to punch their own ticket to the NBA Championship. With All-Stars Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns bolstering a very strong roster, the Knicks have their own championship aspirations. Granted, the Knicks haven't won a chip since 1973, and the Cavs haven't won one since 2016, so being a top team in the Eastern Conference is just part of the long process. And it all starts Tuesday night on Peacock!
Speaking of championship aspirations, the Minnesota Timberwolves certainly have their own high hopes, what with All-Star Anthony Edwards leading the way with nearly 30 points a game. Throw in stud forward Julius Randle, and a strong supporting cast featuring the likes of Naz Reid, Rudy Gobert, Donte DiVincenzo, and Jaden McDaniels, and you've got a team that could very well make its way through the brutal gauntlet that is the Western Conference. Standing in their way, at least on Tuesday night at the Moda Center, is an up and coming Portland squad, led by their own All-Star, forward Deni Avdija, who's averaging more than 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. With a squad bolstered by Jrue Holiday, Scoot Henderson, and Jerami Grant, the Blazers are teetering near .500, which is no small feat in the West, where every night is a slugfest. Tuesday night on Peacock should be no different!
