How to Watch NBA All-Star HBCU Classic Game on Peacock - Who's Playing? What to Know
There's only one place to catch NBA hopefuls in a CAA showdown during All-Star Weekend 2026.
For the fifth year in a row, NBA All-Star Weekend (coming to you February 13-15 on NBC and Peacock) will have a decidedly collegiate flavor, showcasing one of college basketball's most storied conference showdowns: the HBCU Classic, featuring two schools from the Coastal Athletic Association.
This year's game will feature Hampton University Pirates and North Carolina A&T Aggies, two historically black colleges, "with a historic rivalry that represents the pride, tradition and excellence of HBCU basketball," said NBA Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Mark Tatum in a statement.

When is the HBCU Classic during NBA All-Star Weekend 2026?
The HBCU Classic pitting the Hampton University Pirates vs. North Carolina A&T Aggies will stream live on Peacock on Friday, February 13 at 11 p.m. ET, live from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California — the same night as the Rising Stars game, featuring the NBA's biggest up-and-coming stars.
The game will serve as a precursor to another wild weekend — 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend, which will feature can't-miss events from NBA All-Star Saturday and the 75th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, but it all starts on Friday night with the Rising Stars game and HBCU Classic.
"The CAA is excited to partner with the NBA in showcasing the Hampton and North Carolina A&T men's basketball programs in a conference matchup set to take place in the NBA HBCU Classic," said CAA Commissioner Joe D'Antonio. "The NBA has been a consistent supporter in bringing elevated exposure to HBCUs. The ability to work with the world's premier organization for basketball is an incredible opportunity that aligns with the core values of the Conference and its membership in maintaining the importance of being 'United in Excellence'. We are eager to see two of our institutions shine at NBA All-Star 2026 in February."
In honor of the two schools, the NBA and lead sponsor AT&T will jointly donate $100,000 each to Hampton University and North Carolina A&T State University, regardless of which team wins the February 13 matchup.

As of February 10, Hampton is firmly in the middle of the pack in the CAA with a 6-6 conference record and a 12-13 overall record. North Carolina A&T, on the other hand, sits near the bottom of the standings with a 2-10 conference record to go along with an overall record of 9-14.
Both teams are guaranteed a spot in March's CAA conference championship tournament — yielding an all-important NCAA Tournament berth — so earning a win during NBA All-Star 2026 would go a long way toward that goal.
The partnership between the NBA and the HBCU Classic has been going strong since 2022. During the 2025 NBA HBCU Classic, the Tuskegee Golden Tigers defeated the Morehouse Maroon Tigers, 68-55.
