As his millions of fans around the globe know, Bad Bunny is no stranger to epic live performances.
Not only is the Super Bowl LX performer a global superstar who's currently on a world tour; he's also a huge fan of Saturday Night Live and a friend to the show. The Puerto Rican superstar born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio has hosted SNL twice in the past five years and been Musical Guest three times, bringing both his musical and comedy skills to the Studio 8H stage. And on February 8, he's heading to a much bigger arena, headlining the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show in what's actually his second halftime appearance.

Bad Bunny got the opportunity to celebrate his Super Bowl announcement during his monologue in Season 51's October 4 season premiere.
"I'm very excited to be doing the Super Bowl, and I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy," the singer, rapper, and actor said in English, before switching to Spanish.
"Especially all the Latinos and Latinas across the world and here, in the United States, all those who have worked to open doors," he continued. "It's more than an achievement for myself, it's an achievement for all of us. It shows our footprint, and our contribution to this country that no one will ever be able to take away or erase."

April 25, 2020: Bad Bunny's first SNL sketch appearance
Bad Bunny's first SNL appearance preceded his debut as Musical Guest: He had a cameo in the April 25, 2020 SNL at Home episode — one of the few in the show's history to have no Host — in Kenan Thompson's "Big Papi Cooking Show" sketch as David Ortiz's "Puerto Rican cousin" Big Bunny.

February 20, 2021: Bad Bunny's first time as Musical Guest
In Bad Bunny's first time as Musical Guest, he performed "La Noche de Anoche" with guest Rosalía and "Te Desso Lo Mejor." He also appeared in the pretaped sketch "Loco" with Ego Nwodim and Pete Davidson. As Nwodim explains how she'd gone a little "loco" during pandemic lockdowns, Bad Bunny played a singing plant named Reggie she befriended during quarantine.

October 21, 2023: Bad Bunny is Host and Musical Guest
Bad Bunny pulled double duty in Season 49 with help from a few special guests. Lady Gaga introduced one of the songs, Mick Jagger appeared in the sketch "Telenovela," and Pedro Pascal reprised his role as "Protective Mom" in "Protective Mom 2."
One of the night's most viral sketches was "Bad Bunny is Shrek," a Please Don't Destroy video in which the singer dressed up as Shrek and forced Ben Marshall, Martin Herlihy, and John Higgins to act out his elaborate Shrek script. Marshall played Puss in Boots, Herlihy played Donkey, and Bad Bunny inexplicably cast Higgins as Michael Jackson.

May 17, 2025: Bad Bunny is Musical Guest with Host Scarlett Johansson
Bad Bunny was Musical Guest in the Season 50 finale, performing "NUEVAYoL" and "Perfumito Nuevo" wiht guest RaiNao. He also showed up in two memorable sketches.

In "First Class Ft. Bad Bunny," Johansson and the Please Don't Destroy boys took "a little vacay" in first class from LaGuardia to Newark. When things started to go south, their only hope was an air traffic controller on his first day: Bad Bunny.
He also paired up with Marcello Hernández in "Couples at the Bar" as two Spanish-speaking guys on bad dates who used their language skills to try and escape from their eager companions (Johansson and Nwodim).

October 4, 2025: Bad Bunny returns to host with Musical Guest Doja Cat
Season 51 kicked off with Bad Bunny becoming the first person to host a premiere after being the Musical Guest in the preceding season's finale. After taking the opportunity to prepare fans for his Super Bowl Half Time show with remarks in Spanish, he told viewers, "If you didn't understand what I just said, you have four months to learn."

In "KPop Demon Hunters," Bad Bunny played a completely obsessed fan who couldn't listen to his friends talk about drama because he could only think about HUNTR/X. Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami — the actual singers behind the Oscar-nominated hit "Golden" — even showed up to sing the song live.

Bad Bunny's SNL concert performance is streaming on Peacock
Two days before taking part in the massive SNL50: The Anniversary Special, playing Domingo's hot brother and popping up in Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's audience Q&A, Bad Bunny performed in the SNL: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Musical Hall.
First, backed by a large salsa band, Bad Bunny performed "BAILE INoLVIDABLE" and "DtmF" from his 2025 Latin Grammy-winning DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS album. Later in the evening, he took part in the musical tribute to The Lonely Island, crooning their song "I Just Had Sex."
