Peacock to Stream Exclusive NFL Friday Night Opening Weekend Game from São Paulo, Brazil

It may just be the beginning of spring, but we already can’t wait for the beginning of football season. Every free agency move and draft rumor makes us long for those action-packed fall days. Now we have even more to look forward to. Peacock announced it will be the exclusive national home of the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Brazil. 

When are the NFL Games in Brazil?

The game will take place during Week 1 of the 2024 NFL Season on Friday, Sept 6, marking the first Friday game in the NFL’s opening weekend since 1970.

Which NFL Teams will be Playing in Brazil?

The Philadelphia Eagles are the first team announced to play at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. The Eagles are tied for best in the NFL with 25 regular season wins in the last two seasons, and were the NFC Champions in 2022. If any team can bring the excitement to the NFL’s first regular-season Brazil crowd, it’s the Eagles. Their Week 1 opponent for this game will be announced at a later date. 

This will be Peacock’s third exclusive NFL game after last year’s regular season Bills vs. Chargers contest and the Dolphins–Chiefs AFC Wild Card game, which became the most-streamed live event in U.S. history.

The exclusive game from São Paulo is part of four consecutive nights of football on Peacock. That’s a full weekend of jaw-dropping passes, earth-shaking runs, and can’t-miss moments. It all starts on Thursday night, Sept 5 with the NFL Kickoff on Peacock and NBC. Then, stream the Peacock-exclusive NFL game on Friday. Some of the country’s best college players get the spotlight on Big Ten Saturday Night. Then, cap the weekend off with the Season Premier of the No. 1 show in primetime, Sunday Night Football. Come Monday morning, we expect to be fully hoarse from all the cheering.
