Everyone’s favorite trash-talking plush toy takes a sized-up step as new ted episodes land on Peacock beginning March 5.

It’s been almost two years since Peacock announced that ted, the raucously funny film prequel comedy series from creator Seth MacFarlane, would be returning for a second season. And now that the Season 2 debut of the streaming-exclusive series is here, we can bear-ly (ahem!) contain our excitement.

How to Watch

Watch Ted Season 2 on Thursday, March 5, exclusively on Peacock.

Starring MacFarlane voicing the series’ titular sass-talking teddy bear, plus Max Burkholder as a 1990s-era teen version of John Bennett (played by Mark Wahlberg in MacFarlane’s two film installments), ted hilariously tracks John’s awkward misadventures through high school. Since Season 2 of the series pretty much picks up where our dynamic duo last left off, that means we’re about to dive straight into our comedic anti-hero’s fateful senior year.

Season 1 of ted collected critical raves and a huge fan following when its 7-episode season landed on Peacock back in January of 2024. Will the series’ second season follow the same streaming formula that initially made MacFarlane’s NSFW comedy creation such a big-screen to small-screen splash?

Season 2 of ted is streaming Thursday, March 5 on Peacock — and it’s safe to say that fans can expect just a little more stuffing in their potty-mouthed teddy bear series this time around.

MacFarlane writes, directs, and executive produces the series under his Fuzzy Door Productions banner, and alongside co-showrunners Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, the creative team behind ted is slightly upsizing the episode count as the show swings back for a new season. In all, Season 2 of ted will feature 8 episodes (rather than Season 1’s 7-episode count), and all 8 episodes will be available to stream on Peacock right from the jump on March 5.

New to the ted comedy-verse? No worries — Peacock’s streaming slate of all things ted means you can catch up on MacFarlane’s zany creation right from the beginning. Stream the original ted (2012) here and sequel ted 2 (2015) right here — while taking a preview peek at the Peacock small-screen series’ synopsis below:

“Set in the '90s, Ted the bear’s moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 17-year-old John Bennett, along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan and cousin Blaire. Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.”

Loyalty sometimes comes with a giant dose of smack talk — especially with MacFarlane returning to reprise his uproarious voice role for our favorite prank-prone bear sidekick. Stream all 8 episodes of ted Season 2 only on Peacock here beginning Thursday, Mach 5 — and be sure to keep a fuzzy ear out for future updates on the upcoming ted animated series, which stars MacFarlane and Wahlberg, plus Amanda Seyfried, Jessica Barth, Kyle Mooney, and Liz Richman in key voice roles.
