WWE is bringing SummerSlam back to Michigan for the first time in 30 years.

August is here, and that means it's almost time for WWE's biggest event of the summer. With the opportunity for larger-than-life moments and big championship swings, SummerSlam is one of the most anticipated Premium Live Events of the year. We'll give you all the details about when to watch it, where to stream it, and what to expect.

What date is SummerSlam?

Summerslam will take place Saturday, Aug 5 at 8E/5P. Want to make sure you don't miss any of the celebration? Catch the Kickoff Show starting one hour before, featuring LIVE interviews, analysis and predictions. The SummerSlam Kickoff Show starts Aug 5 at 7E/4P.

Where will SummerSlam take place?

WWE announced back in January that SummerSlam would be held at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. This will be the first WWE event at Ford Field since WrestleMania in 2007, and the first SummerSlam anywhere in Michigan since 1993. It's an amazing venue, and the Detroit crowd is in for some unforgettable moments here.

“We are excited for Ford Field to host WWE’s biggest event of the summer and look forward to the WWE Universe converging on Detroit to celebrate SummerSlam’s long-awaited return to Michigan,” said Dan Ventrelle, EVP, Talent at WWE.

What Will I See at SummerSlam?

The fun of every WWE Premium Live Event is that you never know quite what to expect. There's bound to be some surprise moment no one could have predicted. As far as the scheduled matches, this year's SummerSlam is a must-see event. We have Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar, continuing a feud that began right after WrestleMania. If their last match at Backlash is anything to go by, this one will be brutal. Seth "Freakin" Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Bálor, and Bianca Belair will try to take the WWE Women's Championship back from Asuka. Plus, we've got a Battle Royal match that will make this one of the biggest SummerSlams ever.

Of course, you don't want to miss the Tribal Combat match. After tensions among The Bloodline reached their boiling point, Jey Uso turned on Roman Reigns and will now challenge him for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and acknowledgement as Tribal Chief. Reigns has held the championship for more than 1,000 days at this point, and this could be the match that ends his historic run. Main Event Jey has a real shot at taking it from him too, after pinning Reigns in a tag-team match at Money in the Bank. He's come a long way from assisting in Reigns' win over Brock Lesnar at last year's SummerSlam.
