Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Results
The night started with the Women’s Money in the Bank match featuring Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez, Giulia, Naomi and Stephanie Vaquer. Giulia had an early moment of dominance, sending Bliss and Vaquer out of the ring, but Ripley put an end to that, throwing her out and dropping Naomi on the ladder. She was unprepared for Roxanne Perez, who reversed Ripley into a ladder leaning on the bottom rope. Perez and Giulia teamed up to sandwich Ripley in the middle of said ladder, dropping a second ladder on top of her, then throwing her out of the ring and burying her under every ladder they could get their hands on. Unfortunately for them, that left Naomi all alone in the ring to start a climb of her own. Vaquer dragged Naomi off the ladder before systematically taking out all other competitors who entered the ring. Vaquer got close to climbing it herself, but Giulia dragged her down, despite a valiant effort by Vaquer to make the climb with Giulia on her back.
All the chaos bought Ripley enough time to recover, dig herself out of the ladder pile and make everyone pay. After throwing her opponents around the ring, Ripley suspended a ladder on the second rope in the corner. After another attempt at a climb was interrupted by Vaquer, Ripley suspended yet another ladder between the second rope turnbuckle and the third step of the ladder in the center of the ring. She tried to drop Vaquer onto it, but Vaquer reversed, dragged Ripley onto the suspended ladder and delivered an especially painful-looking Devil’s Kiss. From there, it was a free-for-all as Perez, Vaquer, Bliss and Naomi all fought their way up the ladder. After simultaneous Code Reds on the ladder from Perez and Bliss took everyone out of commission, Giulia made the climb, but Perez recovered quickly and met her at the top. For a second, it looked like one of them would take the briefcase, but Bliss and Ripley ripped them both off the ladder, hitting a synchronized Riptide and Sister Abigail. Bliss and Ripley began their own fight at the top of the ladder, but Naomi pushed the ladder over, taking them out of action and making her final uncontested climb to become the new Ms. Money in the Bank.
Result: Naomi claimed the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Dominik Mysterio vs. Octagon Jr. for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
This match was set up earlier in the day at Worlds Collide when Dirty Dom antagonized Octagon Jr. for being a fan of his father, Rey Mysterio. After a brief scuffle between the pair, Dom set up a match for that night at Money in the Bank. Octagon Jr. took the action outside the ring early, taking Dom to the ground. The pair traded blows in the ring, with covers and kickouts aplenty. Octagon Jr. got some impressive moves out, but none of them were enough to put Dom away. Finally, Dom capitalized on a distraction by Liv Morgan to drop Octagon Jr. onto the top rope, set him up for a Frog Splash ,and get the pin.
Result: Dominik Mysterio defeated Octagon Jr. to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship
These two women didn’t even wait for the bell to ring. As soon as ring announcer Alicia Taylor said Becky Lynch’s name, The Man took a swing at Valkyria. Valkyria wasn’t caught off guard though and quickly sent Lynch outside the ring. Lynch returned the favor, dragging Valkyria out and dropping her hard on the ground. Taking the action back in the ring. Lynch took over the match, beating Valkyria down over and over again. Valkyria started to fight back and, after some well-placed jabs and kicks, she managed to cover Lynch but couldn’t make the three-count. After Lynch managed to rope-break a submission hold, the two Superstars took the action outside the ring. With Lynch draped over the barricade, Valkyria climbed the announcers’ table and hit a leg drop on the back of Lynch’s neck. Back in the ring, Lynch got back in the game, almost pinning Valkyria once again after hitting a Manhandle Slam from the top rope. Outside the ring once again, Lynch hit another Manhandle Slam and Valkyria answered with a Nightwing. The exchange nearly took both women out, but Lynch and Valkyria dove back into the ring just in time to beat the count-out. The pair alternated pins and reversals, but The Man won out, becoming the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
As part of the agreement the two Superstars made before the match, Valkyria was forced to raise Lynch’s hand and acknowledge her as the better Superstar. Not content with one raise of the arm, Lynch then forced Valkyria to raise her hand to all four sides of the ring. Lynch may have gone too far when she made Valkyria strap the title around her waist. Valkyria certainly thought so, ending the humiliation by giving Lynch one last Nightwing after the belt was on.
Result: Becky Lynch defeated Lyra Valkyria to become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Results
The Men’s Money in the Bank match kicked off with Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Seth Rollins (accompanied by Paul Heyman), Penta, Andrade, and El Grande Americano. Right away, Penta, Andrade, and L.A. Knight surrounded Seth Rollins and made him regret antagonizing them the night before on Smackdown. Sikoa joined in the fun and sent Rollins out of the ring only for the three Superstars to team up against him. Rollins wasn’t out of action for long, sending everyone out of the ring before throwing Andrade on top of all of them. Penta did him one better and took everyone out with a ringside dive. Eventually three ladders stood in the center of the ring with all six Superstars battling at the top. After two of the ladders came crashing down, Rollins and Sikoa stood alone in the ring. A fierce one-one-one battle ensued, ending with Rollins tripping Sikoa into a ladder and finishing with a stomp. Rollins’ climb was interrupted though by Americano putting him in Chad Gable’s signature ankle lock.
All six Superstars continued to knock each other into the ladders. El Grande introduced an extra-tall Fireball-branded ladder into the ring. Penta met Americano at the top and knocked him off to set up his own chance at the briefcase. He even fended off an attack from Rollin to get his hand on the briefcase. That’s when Americano, with a steel plate under his mask, headbutted Penta to send him off the ladder. L.A. Knight then took himself and Americano out with a Kamikaze from the top of the ladder. That left Seth Rollins as the man to beat, but when the other Superstars overwhelmed him, Rollins called out his secret weapons: Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. The pair stormed the ring, taking out all of Rollins’ opponents. Rollins wasn’t the only one with backup though. Sikoa’s buddies Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo came out to deal with Reed and Breakker. Fatu helped Sikoa into the ring and even set up the ladder for him. Just as Sikoa was about to grab the briefcase though, Fatu stopped his climb, yelled “I hate you” and put an end to their friendship. After Fatu delivered a Superkick, a Moonsault, and a slam through a ladder, Sikoa was out of the match. All that was left was for Seth Rollins to grab the briefcase. After one final battle with L.A. Knight ended with a stomp, Rollins became Mr. Money in the Bank for the second time in his career.
Result: Seth Rollins claimed the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. John Cena and Logan Paul
Finally, it was time for the main event: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso teaming up against John Cena and Logan Paul. Paul began the match against Rhodes, but immediately tagged in Cena. The two WrestleMania opponents traded a couple holds before Cena ran out of the ring to tab Paul back in. Rhodes appeared to be in control of the match when Uso asked for the tag. Rhodes obliged, and Uso got in a good exchange with Paul. Paul started to take control, but after a kickout by Uso, he tagged in Cena to deliver more punishment to Uso. Jey reversed Cena into the turnbuckle, but before he could reach Rhodes, Paul tagged back in and kept him away. Cena and Paul took turns beating up Uso while Rhodes could only watch from his corner. Cena delivered the Five-Knuckle Shuffle, but Jey countered with a submission hold. Uso was almost able to make the tag, but Paul tagged in first and once again kept Uso away from his partner.
Of course, Cena and Paul aren’t normally a tag team. After a disagreement over who should be tagged in led the two of them to start arguing, Uso managed to tag Rhodes in, who made both Cena and Paul pay for their mistake. Cena managed to reverse into an Attitude Adjustment, which could have put the whole match away, but Uso saved Rhodes from the pin at the last second. Rhodes was able to hit Cena with the Cross Rhodes but had to roll out of the pin to avoid Paul, who ended up splashing his own partner. Paul was able to reverse the momentum and hit Rhodes with the Paulverizer. He spent a little too long playing to his own handheld camera though, and Rhodes threw him off the top rope. The battle spilled out of the ring as Cena tried to hit Rhodes with an AA on the announcer’s table. Uso saved his teammate with a Spear and was soon taken out by Logan with a Moonsault through the table.
Once again, while the official was tending to Uso, Cena took the opportunity to hit Rhodes with the championship belt. It nearly won him another match, but a hooded invader rushed the ring and attacked Cena. With Cena out, the attacker removed his hood and revealed himself to be R-Truth. After announcing his contract with WWE wasn’t being renewed, this return was certainly a welcome surprise to all the fans watching. Rhodes hit one final Cross Rhodes, and pinned Cena for the win.
Result: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeated John Cena and Logan Paul
