Yes, Alan Cumming Has Hosted SNL! How to Watch His Episode
The Traitors host once headlined NBC's long-running sketch show with Musical Guest Jennifer Lopez.
Alan Cumming hasn't always been the mysterious overseer of a murderous Scottish castle, like he is on The Traitors. Back in 2000, the theater legend, screen actor, director, club owner, and Emmy-winning host was very briefly the owner and voice of a dog named Lucky Boots in the Saturday Night Live sketch, "Dog Show."
Cumming hosted Saturday Night Live on February 5, 2000, just after starring as Rooster in Disney's 1999 adaptation of Annie. He was already well known for his portrayal of the Emcee in Cabaret on both the West End and Broadway, and had starred with Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino in 1997's Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.

2001 would bring roles in Spy Kids and Josie and the Pussycats, followed by X-2: X-Men United in 2003. He played Eli Gold on The Good Wife beginning in 2010 and Schmigadoon! in 2021, all while continuing his acclaimed stage career and operating his own Broadway-adjacent bar in NYC, Club Cumming.
These days, he's serving looks and drama as the host of Peacock's The Traitors, which returned on January 8 for a Season 4 full of "murder" and mayhem.

How to watch sketches from Alan Cumming's episode of SNL
Cumming hosted Season 25, Episode 11 with Musical Guest Jennifer Lopez. You can stream sketches from that episode — and any episode!— on Peacock while you wait for new episodes of The Traitors to drop on Thursdays.
The actor wrote about his hosting experience on his website back in 2015.
I hosted Saturday Night Live in February of 2000. OMFG. Talk about scary!! Not just that you have so little time to rehearse and there are new bits of sketches right up until transmission, not just that it is LIVE, but also because it is such a landmark thing to do, to host SNL! I stopped telling people I was going to do it because their reactions made me feel even more nervous. But I loved it. It was such an adrenaline rush, and I had all my New York friends in the front row of the balcony cheering me on. Plus, I got to say "Jennifer Lopez is in the house!" and "Give it up for Jennifer Lopez!" which made me very happy.
Consider this our official petition to get Lopez on a future season of The Traitors so he can say it again.
