The Amy Poehler-narrated Peacock Original enlists three Swedes to help declutter subjects’ homes and souls
Peacock has shared its first trailer for the forthcoming unscripted Original series The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning.
What is The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning About?
The heartstring-tugging series is inspired by Margareta Magnusson’s bestselling book and enlists three lovable Swedes — an organizer, designer, and psychologist known as “Death Cleaners” — to help eight subjects speak honestly about death and confront all the “crap” that has been collecting dust in their homes (and souls) for years.
Each story builds toward a physical overhaul of the home and, ultimately, a lighter view of death. Amy Poehler, meanwhile, cements her place as V.O. royalty, cheekily guiding viewers through stories about dealing with their stuff... so that those they leave behind aren’t faced with the overwhelming task of sorting through it.
Watch every episode of The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning on Apr 27 — but not before you’ve confirmed you have at least one tissue box at the ready.
