Twisted Metal Cast Surprises Fans at San Diego Comic-Con Activation
Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz were joined by their co-stars to battle it out in bumper cars.
Just outside the convention floor at Comic-Con, a parking lot is filled with cars — specifically, bumper cars and the real vehicles used in the explosive new season of Twisted Metal, coming to Peacock on July 31.
Peacock celebrated the upcoming Season 2 premiere with a high-octane bumper car battle activation that also featured character interactions, treats from Sweet Tooth’s ice cream truck, photo ops with the prop cars, and karaoke for good measure.
The activation continues through Saturday, July 26, but Thursday’s attendees got a major surprise: the cast of Twisted Metal joined in on the fun.
Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa, Anthony Carrigan, Tiana Okoye, Mike Mitchell, Saylor Bell, and Patty Guggenheim rolled through to greet fans and smash into each other via the Twisted Metal-themed bumper cars.
With costumed actors on the ground, such as Sweet Tooth, Calypso, Dollface, and more, the cast got to battle it out in Calypso’s demolition derby alongside their character counterparts.
For those in San Diego wanting to get in on the action, the activation is open to the public through Saturday, July 26.

Event is free and open to the public. No badge required. Entry and bumper car participation are first come, first served, and not guaranteed. Waivers must be signed by all riders and passengers. Must be 18+ to participate or have consent of a parent or legal guardian.
