The Ravens (10–3, 1st in AFC North) are sitting comfortably at the top of their division. They are two games ahead of their closest rival, the Browns. A lot of their success is thanks to Quarterback Lamar Jackson. He’s been a star his entire career, but this season has been on another level. His legendary ability to scramble and take the ball himself has gotten even better this season. It doesn’t matter if opposing defenses expect it from him, they still can’t reliably stop it. He’s become an even better passer too, dropping back and finding targets even when a play has completely broken down. On top of all of that, he’s managed to avoid injury. This team has invested in its Offensive Line, and it has paid off. The O-Line aggressively protects Jackson, refusing to collapse the pocket, and as a result, they’ve opened up huge passing opportunities (and running lanes) for their star QB. Of course, even a great QB doesn’t take a team this far on his own. Tight End Isaiah Likely has proven to be a phenomenal pass catcher after stepping in for the injured Mark Andrews. On the other side of the ball, Baltimore’s Defensive Tackles have made quick work of opposing O-lines, registering 49 sacks so far this season. Even if a Quarterback can get the ball off, Cornerback Marlon Humphrey is waiting downfield to pick off a hurried pass attempt. This is a well-rounded team that will make real trouble for Jacksonville on Sunday Night. 

The Jaguars (8–5, 1st in AFC South) are coming off back-to-back losses against two other AFC North teams, and they are not looking to make it three in a row. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was a full participant in practice this week after suffering a high ankle sprain two weeks ago. He seems good to go, and he’ll need to be for the Jaguars to get the offense back on track. When Lawrence is healthy, he’s a dangerous passer. He’s able to sneak passes past defenders, picking up crucial first downs, and suddenly a drive you didn’t think was going anywhere ends with the ball in the endzone. Lawrence has gotten lots of help this season from Running Back Travis Etienne Jr., who is almost as great a receiver as he is a runner. He’s had some rough games the last couple weeks, but when he’s cooking, the Jaguars look unstoppable. What’s held this team back lately has been injuries and miscommunication. The Jags are very aware of what they need to do to beat the Ravens, though. If they can stay on the same page, play after play, they will find and exploit the holes in Baltimore’s defense. This team is hungry for a win, and they’re going to leave every last ounce of fight they have on the field. Jacksonville will come out swinging in front of a massive home crowd on Sunday night.
